It all started with a street brawl over a man’s audacity to wear a MAGA hat in public. That confrontation served as the inspiration for Republican Ron J Spike’s latest song, ‘My Maga Hat,’ on his first studio album.
The rap is based on a true story- one that was caught on film and made to go viral.
Go back to 2020, with the Million MAGA March, when a group of anti-American Antifa street brawlers isolated people from their groups and then ganged up on supporters of President Donald J. Trump in the streets of Washington DC- and one of the lone Trump supporters they targeted was our rapper Ron J.
Antifa attacked him and knocked his MAGA hat to the ground.
But they picked the wrong victim that day. Instead, Ron J turned his thoughts and feelings about it all into relevant rap tunes.
With lyrics like “Joe didn’t give back better at all. You don’t even like Democrats; how were you going to help Blacks in the first place? These are the same games Obama played,” it is pretty evident that Republican Ron J, aka Ron J Spike, isn’t going to obey the left.
Rap music is populist- it’s political- and its streams are far more significant than mainstream media news. What Satan intended for evil that night, God turned into some awesome tunes. Ron J joins the brigade of Christian, Conservative rappers who are topping charts with a pro-America First message.
This first studio album for Spike is very, very good. And it’s filled with the feelings and thoughts shared by many patriots- watch for it to become iconic.
When Ron J objected to the Antifa crowd that night in 2020- and pushed back on the masked-up black-clad thug’s who gang-rushed him, he didn’t cower at all- and kept on pushing back- all the way to the ground. Then he got back up again.
It was caught on film… WATCH:
This is video from a fight earlier tonight in DC. A Trump supporter, the one in pink hoodie, went walking into the Antifa/BLM side. After getting his Trump hat knocked off, a fight ensued. Police then came in to break it up. #DCProtests #protests #MillionMAGAMarch pic.twitter.com/wEQ95DYuDw

Undeterred- Ron J didn’t pout; he decided to rap about it- and that is the growing pains of his new album. ” I wanted a fun song. Our movement needs to have fun music. I give my music away for free, not because I don’t want to make money. I do want to make money if people have the money and want to purchase it they can on all the platforms. But most important I wanted to make some music that uplifts people and I wanted my tunes to be things that you can rock to. Patriots need music from Conservative artists,” Ron J. told National File.
Check out- My MAGA hat:
“Im glad you found that video- did you hear that part about my MAGA hat? That moment when it gets knocked off my head was the inspiration to that line, when I say If you tip off my hat, you might as well jump me. Getting it knocked off like that means a lot more to me than a simple hat,” Ron J told National File after he got the link to the above tweet sent to him, adding, “I wanted to make a song for all the other people like me to show that we are all going through the same things. Like when our friends and family distance us, when we lose funds for standing up for what we believe in, or when we get dirty looks when we are out. Rapper Forgiato Blow discovered J Spikeow, and Spike showcases their friendship in his rap People’s Reverand. It is a blistering song about January 6th- with lines like” they left blood on the Capitol on the Steps, they set us up’:
Republican Ron J has performed at CPAC twice and also at Turning Point USA AmFest events. He will be featured at the upcoming Turning Point event in December, sponsored by GoU,SA a group that helps to vet candidates for their actions.
Not all of Spike’s songs are overtly political.
“I love all of those great rappers, but I feel like something I have that is a little unique is that my music sounds a lot like what is current, what you would hear on the radio right now. What kids hear right now sounds a lot like what I am making. This is the stuff you would hear in the club, and I like that because I want people to know there is another way of living than what they get everywhere else,” Republican Ron J said.
“Go follow your dreams; I hope you listen to me,” he raps in You’re Special.
Ron J says:
