BREAKING: Trump Reportedly Will NOT Join GETTR Platform Run By Former Spokesman Jason Miller

Bloomberg reports that 45th President Donald Trump will not join GETTR, the new social media platform created by his former spokesman, Jason Miller, despite media publications suggesting the social network was created by “Team Trump”.

A senior Bloomberg reporter explains “Trump isn’t joining Jason Miller’s new social media platform,” and President Trump will not “have any financial stake or participation” in GETTR. “Apparently the ex president still has plans for a separate platform. Unclear what exactly,” she noted. GETTR was officially launched earlier today amid expectations that President Trump would himself be launching a new platform following his bans from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and virtually every big tech platform.

As recently as last week, President Trump demurred when asked by Dave Rubin if he had plans to join another platform. “There’s a lot of platforms out there, that’s what we’re looking at, getting the right platform, a perfect platform, and I think you’ll see something fairly soon,” said President Trump. When Bloomberg asked the 45th President’s team if he had plans to join GETTR, the team referred the left wing news outlet to Miller, who did not provide a comment.

As National File reported, President Trump’s team asked for a financial stake in Parler in exchange for his presence on the platform, which was something the owners were willing to consider, but the deal reportedly fell through when President Trump asked the Mercer family, who own Parler, to ban those who criticize the President. Similarly, talks for President Trump to join Gab fell through when Jared Kushner, the 45th President’s son-in-law, demanded Gab CEO Andrew Torba ban criticism of Israel in exchange for the 45th President’s presence on the platform. It remains unclear what platform President Trump may be creating, or when it may be released. Earlier this year, President Trump suggested he would have news about a potential return to social media around July 4, adding to the speculation that the launch of Miller’s platform may mark his return to social media.
