First Lady Melania Trump announced her plans this morning to join the crypto market, using NFT and blockchain technology in rolling out “Melania’s Vision,” a digital token that will help foster children learn in-demand computer skills like programming and software development.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) along with blockchain technologies have taken the world by storm in recent years and may be best known for their relation to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. NFTs use the principle that data will be stored indefinitely in the blockchain to sell public contracts that often represent art, memes, or collectibles.
According to a press release from the Office of Melania Trump, Melania’s Vision will be sold between December 16 and December 31 of this year.
The digital tokens will be exclusively sold on the former First Lady’s website, www.melaniatrump.com, and will feature a watercolor painting of her beautiful “cobalt blue eyes,” as well as a 10-second audio message from Mrs. Trump herself.
The listing price will be approximately $150 per token.
Melania’s Vision tokens will help support Mrs. Trump’s Be Best initiative, a program she founded during President Trump’s time in office which focuses on a broad range of issues impacting American children, though it appears from her press release that proceeds from the tokens will specifically be used to help foster kids learn high-level computer skills.

The statement goes on to reveal that Melania’s Vision utilizes the Solana blockchain protocol and can be purchased using SOL cryptocurrency, as well as a credit card, while alternative social media network Parler is said to be powering the token platform.
