How to Find a Doctor for Microwave Sickness and EHS — Medically Recognized Illnesses

By B.N. Frank

You may have heard about American Embassy workers in China and Cuba who were injured by alleged exposure to microwave radiation weapons.  Unfortunately, Bluetooth, cell phones and other wireless WiFi devices and infrastructure are actually emitting harmful microwave radiation too.  Research has determined that exposure can do more than increase cancer risk (see 1, 2).  In fact, exposure to all sources of Electromagnetic Radiation (aka “Electrosmog”) affects everybody. Some simply tolerate it better than others.  Those who don’t may develop “Microwave Sickness” as well as Electromagnetic Sensitivity (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) or, of course, cancer.

Many doctors won’t consider Electrosmog exposure when diagnosing and treating patients.  Thanks to The EMF Academy for providing information on how to find doctors who will.

A cousin of mine is a physician, and when I asked him recently what he knew about, or what he had trained, in relation to Electro-hypersensitivity, or EHS, he said was not given any information at all. When pushed a bit further, he said that he had not even heard of the condition, but would likely treat it as some sort of allergy.

This baffled me. In our wireless age, EMFs are affecting us more and more, and increasingly causing noticeable health decline. He’s not to blame, though, his medical education has just not caught up with the world as it is. Largely, this is the widespread denial and anti-information campaigns by electronics and mobile phone companies.

Most likely, if you consult your primary physician about your EMF exposure or EHS symptoms, he will likely not quite understand or empathize.

The best thing you can do is be well informed, and ready and willing to share that knowledge with your physician. I am not an expert, but I do research the best I can all things EMF radiation.

So I encourage you to read through the articles in the EMF Academy Knowledge section. I also encourage you to research other websites, as there is some fantastic information (and some not so good) on the web.

Print out or save the articles you feel like will relate best to your medical professional and just take them with you and pass them along. This will most likely help him/her to better understand and treat you’re symptoms.

Worst case, you’ll be spreading valuable information to a community of physicians that desperately needs to be better informed. If you think you suffer from Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, check out my guide EHS Disease – What it is and do you have it.

Don’t worry though, later in this article I’ll have some great resources for you to show your doctor. However, before we get there, I think we need to talk a little bit more about what EMF sensitivity specialists are, how they test for EHS, and why this is so important.

What Is An EMF Sensitivity Doctor?

Well, the first thing you need to understand is that for the most part, “EMF Sensitivity Doctor’s” aren’t really a thing. What you’re actually typically talking about is either a medical doctor who has training and understanding about the dangers of EMF radiation, and what EHS (electro-hypersensitivity) is, a naturopathic physician with training in EHS, or just a specialist in the area of EMF radiation who understands the common symptoms.

The first, a medical doctor with training in EHS, is honestly a bit rare. Like I mentioned in the story at the beginning of this article, understanding EMF radiation and it’s effects on the human body are not topics that are in current medical school curriculum, at least not in the United States.

So, to find an MD that both understands these things, AND believes in them enough to treat his/her patients who show symptoms, is really rare. However, these doctors do exist, and at the end of this article I’ll list some of the specialists I’m aware of and where you can find them.

Other then medical doctors trained in EHS, there are also some naturopaths who specialize in identifying the symptoms of EHS and helping you treat them.

I won’t go into all the ways to treat EHS, because I already have dozens of articles on the topic, however they will essentially work with you to identify your harshest sources of radiation exposure, and work with you to protect against those.

The need for EMF sensitivity doctors and specialists is becoming increasingly important as 5G continues to be rolled out, and cell-phones emit more and more radiation. Now that we understand more about what EMF sensitivity doctors are, let’s look at what they actually treat.

What Do EMF Sensitivity Doctors Treat?

Exposure to EMF radiation from things like cell-phones, cell-towers, WiFi routers, power lines, and many other sources is ultimately harmful to the human body, and causes cumulative damage over time. Some people are especially sensitive to this radiation and have what is called electromagnetic hypersensitivity, or EHS. That doesn’t mean that the radiation is more harmful, it just means that they are more likely to experience obvious symptoms and seek out an EHS specialist or EMF sensitivity doctor.

Some of the symptoms that an EMF sensitivity doctor will treat include:

  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Skin sensitivity
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle pain, especially in the hand and wrist
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • High heart rate
  • Pain in the eyes

And much more.

A good EMF sensitivity doctor or EHS specialist will not only help you identify the sources of these symptoms, but will put together an action plan to help reduce your exposure and get you better. They’ll take a wholistic approach to understanding your needs and worries and help solve each.

If you are like me, and have a doctor who you aren’t sure will understand these needs, I’ve put together some resources to help you.

Resources To Show Your Dr. About EMF Sensitivity and EHS

I’ll list a few of my favorite resources that I found when I wanted to provide some valuable information to my physician cousin:

Although most Doctors and medical professionals do not understand EMF sensitivity, there are some physicians and medical experts out there who do understand EHS and Electrical sensitivity. Feel free to download any of those, print them out, or even share with friends.

How To Find An EMF Sensitivity Doctors Near You

Europe is far ahead of the united states when it comes to the understanding and treatment of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, but regardless of where you live, I’ve researched and found facilities that specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with EHS, or ES, symptoms, as well as resources to help you find these individuals.

American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM)

This is perhaps the first place I would start. The AAEM is an organization of physicians interested in the clinical aspects of human’s and their environment. This includes things like environmental toxins, chemicals, and EMF radiation exposure.

Although they don’t have member physicians in every state, they have a really great search tool that will instantly tell you what doctors are available in your area.

You can access that search tool right here.

International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI)

Like the AAEM, this is another organization of like minded physicians who specialize in identifying illnesses caused by environmental conditions (including EMF radiation) and working to cure those illnesses.

They have physicians all over the world, and you can find them and their contact information really easily by using their online search tool.

He is a renowned doctor who retired years ago. However, after recognizing the growing danger of EMF radiation, he came out of retirement specifically to treat EMF related illnesses.
