T-Mobile Ad Shows Actors Using Smartphones In Ways They Warn Against in Product Manuals

By B.N. Frank

Product manuals warn that carrying or holding a cell phone directly against the body could cause users to expose themselves to Radio Frequency Radiation that exceed federal RF safety limits.  Telecoms must take the potential for harm very seriously because they ALL have been warning investors that they could be held liable for harm caused by their devices and transmitters (aka cell towers).  In fact, T-Mobile warned AGAIN about this just a few months ago.  Regardless, a lot of money was paid to somebody to produce videos for T-Mobile, and at least one of them shows a woman and a man holding phones directly next to their heads and a woman carrying her phone in the back pocket of her very tight britches.

Another reason to not carry a T-Mobile phone so close to the body – it might catch fire and/or explode.  In fact, one T-Mobile customer’s phone caught fire within a month of her having it.  FYI – Anyone with a 5G phone seems to be at more risk for it overheating.  However, even before 5G there were reports about other company’s cell phones and wireless radiation transmitting devices overheating, smoking, catching fire, and/or explodingSo there’s that too.

On a related note – a class action lawsuit was filed last year because some smartphones models DO exceed federal RF safety limits.
