Planned Parenthood illegitimately acquired $80 million worth of federal coronavirus stimulus money, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson reports.
37 Planned Parenthood affiliates received a total sum of $80 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funds that they were not eligible for, which the Small Business Administration (SBA) is now demanding they return. The SBA has also further threatened “severe penalties” beyond mandatory repayment, including civil suits and criminal prosecution of the deceitful Planned Parenthood employees involved in this scheme to appropriate taxpayer funds.

SBA assistance rules prevent PPP funds from being granted to organizations with over 500 employees. Planned Parenthood had the affiliates apply individually to flout the rules, claiming that each affiliate was a separate small organization, despite the affiliates all being subsidiaries of the national Planned Parenthood organization which has thousands of employees.
Planned Parenthood has previously claimed it was refusing federal funding to protest the Trump administration.
“Planned Parenthood is never going to allow the Trump-Pence administration to bully us into withholding critical health information from our patients,” Planned Parenthood in Metropolitan Washington (PPMW) President and CEO Laura Meyers said in 2019.
A few months ago, however, Meyers and PPMW claimed $1,328,000 of taxpayer coronavirus stimulus money, which was originally intended for small businesses.

Republican Senators have called for action against Planned Parenthood’s fraudulent practices.
“The money needs to be recovered and if anybody knowingly falsified applications, they need to be prosecuted,” said Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).
“Those funds must be returned immediately,” added Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). “Furthermore, the SBA should open an investigation into how these loans were made in clear violation of the applicable affiliation rules and if Planned Parenthood, the banks, or staff at the SBA knowingly violated the law all appropriate legal options should be pursued.”
Planned Parenthood is particularly controversial for its involvement in the U.S. abortion industry. It is the single largest provider of abortion services in the United States, and offers late-term abortions where conscious babies are ripped from their mother’s wombs and killed.
