Turkey has announced its support for designating Antifa a terrorist organization in a video released by the Turkish President’s Communications Director, Fahrettin Altun.
“U.S. President Donald Trump recently tweeted that he plans to designate Antifa as a terror organization,” the video states. “Turkey fully supports this decision, and can empathize as our people have suffered tremendously over the years from radical left-wing terror attacks.”
The Twitter accounts for both the Turkish Ambassador and the Turkish Embassy to the United States retweeted conservative commentator Jack Posobiec after he shared the video.

The video links Antifa to the ongoing rioting over the death of George Floyd and expresses concern about the group’s involvement.
“The presence of Antifa members at the George Floyd protests is profoundly concerning for Ankara, not only because of their destructive actions towards our NATO ally, but also because of the close links they have with terror organizations that threaten Turkey’s national security,” the video adds.
“Antifa shares many ideologies with the PKK, a group that has been designated as terrorist by the U.S., EU and Turkey. The PKK has launched terror attacks against Turkey for more than 40 years, resulting in the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women and children.”
The video reveals how the violent PKK terrorist group trained Antifa in militant camps located in war-torn Syria.
“Antifa has also benefited from the Syrian Civil War by working together with non-state actors, by sending foreign fighters to receive military training,” it continues. “The YPG, which is the Syrian arm of the PKK, is a group which has helped militarize many Antifa members.”
It goes on to expose how United States taxpayers subsidized the aforementioned training camps.
“Turkey recognizes the YPG as a terror organization, but the United States has farmed a partnership with them under the umbrella of Washington’s coalition partner, the Syrian Democratic Forces. While the YPG has received billions of dollars in U.S. taxpayer money, weapons and training, they have also trained Antifa members who now pose a national security threat to America.”
Antifa recently established the ‘Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone’ in Seattle, after seizing six blocks from government authorities. This far-left separatist quasi-state is reminiscent of the territory seized by YPG militants in Syria, the ‘Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria’.
