Congressional & State Electoral Candidates Protecting Voters from 5G in Illinois

By B.N. Frank

American 5G opposition and warnings are getting so much attention now that they were recently the subject of a Dilbert comic strip. Opposition is about more than biological (see 1, 2) and environmental risks (see 1, 2) though.

Federal agencies and other experts warn that 5G also threatens national security, public safety, and weather forecasting accuracy (see 1, 2, 3).

American legislators have been getting in on the action too. In addition to filing lawsuits, municipal governments have passed resolutions to ban 5G deployment until studies prove it’s safe (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 6) and ordinances to limit and/or control installation. State representatives in Hawaii and Illinois have introduced 5G bills. Congress members have also addressed the agency with safety concerns.

In Illinois – both Republican and Democrat legislators and candidates are taking a stand against deployment.

Congressional & State Electoral Candidates Commit to Protecting Voters From 5G in Illinois

Grassroots organizations in Illinois, namely Illinois for Safe Technology, Stop 5G Chicago, Stop 5G Together Illinois, Stop 5G Western Springs & Neighbors, Stop 5G Hinsdale and Neighbors, Stop 5G Clarendon Hills & Neighbors, and Glen Ellyn VHP, are working to educate electoral candidates about 5G risks and the need to safeguard local control over the deployment of 5G cell towers.

Within the last few weeks, six statements have been provided by elected officials and candidates in support of protecting voters from aggressive telecom industry efforts to blanket entire communities in their wireless infrastructure to facilitate next gen technologies.

State Election Candidates Illinois House of Representatives Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R) – 47th District Laura Hois (R) – 81st District

In 2019, telecom executives gave U.S. congressional testimony that they had NO scientific evidence that 5G is safe – AND – there already IS scientific evidence that it’s NOT. There have also been reports of people and animals experiencing symptoms and illness after it was installed (see 1. 2, 3, 4). Of course exposure to other sources of wireless radiation can also cause health issues. Last year The World Health Organization warned that high levels of Electromagnetic Radiation (aka “Electrosmog”) could lead to health issues in 30% of the population!

Cities worldwide AND entire countries have taken action to ban, delay, halt, and limit 5G installation AS WELL AS issue moratoriums. In the U.S. 5G has become so controversial that Trump recently withdrew his re-nomination of a veteran FCC commissioner because of it. Regardless – last week he renewed his commitment to beating China in the “Race for 5G.” So much for giving the country back to the people…
