A Texas man turned the tables on two teenaged armed robbers after grabbing a handgun off the young criminals before fatally shooting one and injuring another.
The fateful armed robbery took place at 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route at I-69 in Houston. Two teenagers approached a man leaving the mall demanding his keys and money at gunpoint. The armed robbery victim, however, had the wherewithal to disarm the gun-wielding teenager before shooting them both.
“He’s reporting that these two suspects attempted to rob him, to take his vehicle,” said Sgt. Jason Brown with the HCSO Homicide Division, according to Second Amendment Daily.
“He was able to take one of the pistols from the suspect and (shot) both of those suspects.” Sgt. Brown added. A witness at the scene, who was grabbing a bite to eat, said: “When the shots started you just seen people start running.”
One of the teenagers was shot in the head and chest before being pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after. The second teenager, although wounded, managed to run to a block of apartments across the road from the strip mall. When he was found by authorities, he was rushed to hospital to treat his wounds. His condition remains unknown.
Click 2 Houston reports that the armed robbery victim is fully cooperating with law enforcement in giving a statement. The case in question is expected to be referred directly to a grand jury.
Last year, also in Houston, an armed robber was shot and killed with his own gun. The suspect walked up to a homeowner in his garage, but the homeowner managed to wrestle the gun off the armed robber and fatally shoot him.

Two guns were recovered at the scene with rounds having been fired from both weapons.
Authorities believed that both guns belonged to the armed intruder.
The case was also referred to a grand jury to determine whether charges were to be filed against the homeowner.
