Only 36 hours into the presidency of Joe Biden, Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking poll results indicate that 45% of Americans disapprove with his job performance, with 38% strongly disapproving.
For a President that supposedly received over 80 million votes, the largest number for a presidential candidate in the history of the United States, Biden’s opening approval rating is raising eyebrows, sitting at just 48%. For comparison, President Donald Trump opened with an approval rating of 56%. Former President Barack Obama’s opening approval rating was 67%.
It is also worth noting that President Trump’s approval rating was 51% on his last day in office.
As America continues to reel over the theft of the 2020 election, the new administration faces criticism for remaining silent amid the national outcry over their decision to force members of the National Guard to sleep in DC parking garages after they provided security for the mostly-crowdless inauguration, as National File reported.
“In one of his first acts as president, Biden forced the National Guard – who have been guarding Washington, D.C. since the January 6 protest at Capitol Hill – to leave the heated halls of the U.S. Capitol, where they had been sleeping, and instead take their breaks in unheated parking garages and on streets.
President Trump has now offered to let these soldiers stay at his luxurious Trump International hotel, located on Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House, free of charge.”
Furthermore, as Biden is “considering” the deployment of thousands of additional troops to Iraq, the Senate has confirmed Raytheon board member Lloyd Austin to serve as the Secretary of Defense. It was also reported that a large US military convoy had entered Northern Syria, just two days after Biden was inaugurated.
It is unclear what more Middle Eastern interventionism and pointless foreign wars will do to “restore the soul and to secure the future of America.”
