Maya Echols, a radical Black Lives Matter activist and model, made headlines recently by openly threatening large-scale violence if former police officer Derek Chauvin is found not guilty in his ongoing trial for the murder of George Floyd, jeopardizing the legitimacy of the outcome and possibly calling for a repeat of the large scale BLM violence seen last summer.
“If George Floyd’s murderer is not sentenced” she warns “just know that all hell is gonna break loose.” She goes on: “Don’t be surprised when buildings are on fire. Just sayin’”. Echols later deleted the video after backlash.

Derek Chauvin is currently on trial for the alleged murder of George Floyd last May. However, this is disputed, since Floyd had a fatal dose of fentanyl and many other drugs in his system at the time, something covered extensively by National File. The final decision in this monumental trial should not be swayed by threats.
According to the U.S. Code, specifically 18 U.S. Code Section 2331 (5), Domestic Terrorism is anything that “involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State (that) appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion.”
It seems obvious that the actions of Black Lives Matter during the past year, and the actions which Echols threatens in this video, constitute domestic terrorism, as government buildings and businesses were burned in order to further their leftist agenda. Our justice system should treat these actors and activists as domestic terrorists.
As National File recently reported, the passenger in Floyd’s car, who previously promised to testify and be the “voice” of George Floyd, has been identified as his drug dealer by his ex-girlfriend, a woman who he called “mamma.”
