Tucker Carlson doubled down on his comments on demographic replacement of voters in the United States by the Democratic Party, mocking aggrieved Twitter activists.
Last week, speaking on “Fox News Primetime” with Mark Stein, Tucker Carlson had brought up the issue of demographic change in America, suggesting that the Democratic Party was bringing in immigrants for political purposes. “If you change the population, you dilute the political power of the people who live there,” Tucker said. “White replacement theory? No, no, this is a voting rights question.”
Following the segment on Thursday, “the usual chorus of hyper-agressive liars,” such as the ADL, Media Matters, and left-wing commentators on Twitter, came out and claimed that Tucker was perpetuating “white supremacist” ideas. “Mr. Carlson’s attempt to at first dismiss this theory, while in the very next breath endorsing it under cover of ‘a voting rights question,’ does not give him free license to invoke a white supremacist trope,” said the ADL’s Jonathan Greenblatt in a letter to Fox News, demanding he be fired.
Instead of apologising, Tucker then doubled down on his comments on demographic replacement on his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday, noting that “all those little gatekeepers on Twitter did become hysterical” about his comments as predicted. “They spent the last four days jumping up and down, furiously trying to pull this show off the air,” he said. “Once again they will fail, but it is amusing to see them keep at it. They get so enraged – it’s a riot!”
Tucker noted that “normal people” don’t respond this way if you think something is wrong. Rather than wishing to correct people, the point is to prevent unauthorised conversations from starting in the first place,” he said. “Demographic change is the key to the Democratic Party’s political ambitions,” Tucker argued:
In order to win and maintain power, Democrats plan to change the population of the country. They’re no longer trying to win you over with their program. They’re obviously not trying to improve your life. They don’t even really care about your vote any more. Their goal is to make you irrelevant. That is provably true. And because it’s true, it drives them absolutely crazy when you say it out loud! A hurt dog barks.
They scream about how noticing the obvious is immoral. You’re a racist if you dare to repeat things that they themselves proudly say! Most people go along with this absurd standard. They dutifully shut up – they don’t think they have a choice. But no matter what they’re allowed to say in public, everyone understands the truth. When you change who votes, you change who wins. That fact has nothing to do inherently with nationality. It’s the nature of democracy.

Tucker highlighted liberals moving from liberal states like New York and California to states like Nevada, Idaho, Montana, and Vermont as one example. While regrettable, it couldn’t be stopped, as Americans have the rights to move between states. But states like Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina, are being flooded with immigrants from outside the country who all voted Democrat.
“Mass immigration increases the power of the Democratic Party. Period,” Tucker continued. “That’s the only reason.” He argued that “if 200,000 immigrants showed up at our southern border tomorrow [who voted Republican]… Democrats would deport those migrants immediately… Hundreds of thousands of likely Republicans amassing in Tijuana? That would qualify as a national crisis – we’d have a border wall by Wednesday!”
Tucker picked out that while nobody on the right is allowed to have this conversation, the left “brag about it constantly,” and even in the most “ugly racial terms.” One New York Times column from 2018 was entitled “We Can Replace Them,” pointing out that because Georgia was just over 50% non-Hispanic white, it would likely flip to the Democrats. “Note, that’s a New York Times columnist, not some QAnon blogger,” Tucker said:
They tell you that demographic replacement is an obsession of the right! No, it’s not! They say it’s some horrifying right-wing conspiracy theory, the right is obsessed with it! No, the left is obsessed with it. In fact, it’s the central idea of the modern Democratic Party. Demographic replacement is their obsession, because it’s their path to power.”

As National File reported, Tucker also fired back against the comments from the ADL, and noted that the ADL themselves argue against demographic change in Israel. The Fox News host read from an essay from 2010 that is currently hosted on the ADL’s site, which he described as “what an unvarnished conversation about what a country’s national interest might look like,” where they claimed an influx of Palestinian voters would be a huge negative for Israelis.
“Now from Israel’s perspective, this makes perfect sense,” Tucker continued. “Why would any democratic nation make its own citizens less powerful? Isn’t that the deepest betrayal of all? In the words of the ADL, why would a government subvert its own sovereign existence? Good question. Maybe ADL President Jonathan Greenblatt will join us sometime to explain, and tell us whether that same principle applies to the United States.”
