House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will continue to require lawmakers to wear a mask on the House floor despite the CDC recommendation that vaccinated people can be indoors without a face mask.
It was never about a virus.
Covid mandates are all about power and control.
CNN reported:
Although the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 do not need to wear masks or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors except under special circumstances, the House mask requirement will remain in place until all members and floor staff are fully vaccinated.
“No,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said when asked if the rule mandating masks unless a member is speaking on the House floor would be modified. She then asked, “Are they all vaccinated?”
The Capitol Attending Physician has determined that it is safe to "resume activities without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart" if vaccinated. Ignoring this determination & CDC guidance, Nancy Pelosi is keeping the mask mandate. It's not about science. It's all about power.
