A porn star who went by the name Dakota Skye was found dead in her apartment about a month after being “cancelled” online for taking a topless photo at a George Floyd memorial.
The 27-year-old, whose real name was Lauren Scott, was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Wednesday.
Scott had a troubled family life and struggled with substance abuse, according to her aunt.
“Lauren was a product of a highly dysfunctional family involving drugs, alcohol, physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse,” her aunt, Linda Arden, told the Sun. “She died almost exactly two years after her mother’s – my baby sister’s – death, which was caused by addiction and alcoholism.”
A porn “news” site reports that “most recently, Skye had expressed anger and frustration at being targeted by abusive online trolls.”
The reason she was targeted was because of a photo she took at a George Floyd memorial.

“This George Floyd post is in really bad taste. If you’re trying to be an ally or fight for what’s right, this is not the way to do it,” one commenter wrote. Others called her “white trash” and accused her of “exploitation.”
“I’m celebrating BAD cops being checked [for] abusing [their] authority against human beings,” Scott tried to argue, though the leftists were not interested in her explanation.
