Gosar Asks Biden Administration: ‘What Is The Plan To Get Our Equipment Back?’

Amid reports that the Biden regime refused to say whether or not they’ve tried to destroy abandoned military equipment in Afghanistan, Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) is asking what their plans are, according to a new press release.

As National File previously reported, nearly $83 billion of the $145 billion the U.S. government spent trying to rebuild Afghanistan went towards building up and maintaining Afghanistan’s military and police forces. Almost all of the Afghan army’s equipment has either been captured or destroyed after the army disintegrated in the face of the Taliban advance.

“No strikes have been conducted in the last 24 hours, but the commander on the ground continues to maintain that capability if required to do so,” Major General Hank Taylor told a reporter, who also asked if the U.S. Military had a plan to repatriate equipment left in Afghanistan. “I don’t have information on the second part of the question,” he explained. “So there’s no, no U.S. action is being taken to prevent equipment from falling into the hands of the Taliban by destroying it or anything else?” the reporter followed up. “I don’t have the answer to that question,” the general affirmed.

Republican Congressman Paul Gosar is now pressing the “failed” Biden administration to take action and bring back military equipment in Afghanistan, according to a new press release.

“It has been reported that billions of dollars of top U.S. military equipment is being left behind for the Taliban to use. Because of the incompetent Biden withdrawal, the Taliban has seized helicoptersHumveesMine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs)drones, and even anti-aircraft guns, armored tanks, and artillery.

Biden has no plan to get any of that equipment back or to keep the Taliban from seizing even more weapons. Some military equipment that did not fall into the hands of the Taliban may now be in Iran,” reads the press release.

Representative Gosar provided a statement at the end of the press release: “I am asking the Biden administration what its plan is to get billions of dollars of American military equipment back and out of the hands of Iran and the Taliban? American military hardware is the best in the world. Americans paid for it. We want it back and secured. What is the plan?”
