DELAYED: Cyber Ninjas’s CEO and Two Members of Arizona Audit Team Catch COVID, Can’t Release Results Today

The results of the forensic audit of Arizona’s Maricopa County have been delayed, and will not be released on Monday, due to Cyber Ninjas’s CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the audit team becoming sick with COVID.

Following months of speculation, the draft report from the forensic audit of Arizona’s Maricopa County election results was expected to be released on Monday. However, in a statement from Senate President Karen Fann, the Arizona Senate Republicans confirmed that only a “portion of the draft report” was received by the Senate, due to Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan, and two other members of the audit team, becoming “quite sick” after testing positive for COVID.

“In addition to the illnesses, it wasn’t until Thursday that the Senate received the images of the ballot envelopes from Maricopa County and are hoping to have those analysed as soon as possible to incorporate those results into the final report,” the statement went on to explain, adding that the Senate’s legal team will meet on Wednesday to review the draft report, and will release the findings in full to the public and the Senate Judiciary Committee following a further meeting to check for “accuracy, clarity, and proof of documentation for findings.”

Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers, one of the most vocal members of the legislature who has been in favour of the audit, tweeted her well-wishes to Logan and the other audit members following the statement from Fann. “Steady as she goes,” Rogers said. “Get well soon team!”

Reactions from leftists and Democrats were, however, less kind. Garrett Graff, former editor of Politico and CNN contributor, said that the statement is “delusions colliding wtih reality,” while others suggested that it was the “2021 version of the ‘dog ate my homework’ excuse,” and even some engaging in wild conspiracy theories that Logan was going to fake his own death from COVID “rather than admit to the MAGA mob” that the Arizona audit was “all a lie.”

Supporters of President Trump have been eagerly awaiting the news of the audit, with a crowd in Alabama at a rally joining with Representative Mo Brooks in a chant of “FIX IT NOW,” referring to the alleged fraud that many of the supporters took place in the 2020 election.
