BREAKING: New Footage Shows Moment Kyle Rittenhouse Was Attacked By Rosenbaum, Ziminski

New footage shows the moment Kyle Rittenhouse was attacked by a group of rioters on August 24, 2020. The teenager can be seen, by himself, walking down a road while offering medical assistance. “Medical!” Rittenhouse, who was equipped with a first aid kit, could be hear shouting. He then came across a group of arsonists who confronted him, a group that included Joseph Rosenbaum.

Rittenhouse was initially guarding a business called Car Source that had multiple locations in Kenosha. According to testimony from Rittenhouse’s friend Dominick Black, the teenager repeatedly left the area of the dealership in order to administer first aid and put out fires. At some point, Rittenhouse was separated from his associate, Ryan Balch, and ended up alone.

While making his way back to the dealership, Rittenhouse encountered a group that included Rosenbaum. The group had repeatedly set fires over the course of the night, including a dumpster that they attempted to push towards a gas pump. One member of the group, Joshua Ziminski, was armed with a handgun while Rosenbaum was carrying a heavy chain.

“Anybody need medical?” Rittenhouse can be heard shouting as he approached the group. About ten seconds later, a member of the group can be heard yelling “let’s get him” while they surround Rittenhouse, who was hiding behind a car. “Friendly, friendly, friendly!” Rittenhouse can be heard yelling, indicating that he was not initiating conflict. The group then proceeded to pursue Rittenhouse while Ziminski can be heard yelling “you won’t do **it mother f***er!”

It was around this time that Ziminski discharged his handgun into the air, the first shot fired during the timeline of events. He did this while Rosenbaum chased Rittenhouse across the parking lot, eventually cornering him. Rosenbaum then lunges at the retreating Rittenhouse while yelling “f*** you!”

Rittenhouse then fired four times at point-blank range, killing Rosenbaum. Rittenhouse defense attorney Mark Richards stated that the four shots fired by Rittenhouse were dispensed over the span of .76 of a second from first to last shot. He then attempted to make his way to police lines in order to surrender, which eventually led to the second altercation involving Anthony Huber.

The footage appears to firmly dispel the notion that Rittenhouse was “hunting” rioters, as alleged by lead prosecutor Thomas Binger. Binger falsely stated that Rittenhouse chased and antagonized Rosenbaum during his opening statement on Tuesday.
