‘Armed and Dangerous’ – Corrections Officer Wanted for Helping Murder Suspect Escape Alabama Prison (VIDEO)

Birmingham, Alabama – A corrections officer is wanted for helping a murder suspect escape a Lauderdale County prison on Friday.

Vicki White, 55, and inmate Casey White (no relation) had a “special” relationship. according to a fellow prison inmate.

Casey White was charged with two counts of capital murder in September 2020 for stabbing a woman to death.

The two may be traveling in an orange 2007 Ford Edge and are considered armed and dangerous.

New surveillance footage shows Vicki White opening the door and allowing accused murderer Casey White to exit the prison.

The two fled together and there is an active manhunt underway.

Authorities are still searching for an Alabama corrections officer and inmate who escaped on Friday, but WAFF reports new details have been released involving the incident.

Investigators confirmed that Vicky White and Casey White had a relationship at the Lauderdale County Detention Center, one that inmates called “special.” That relationship has been confirmed through independent investigation, WAFF reported.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Marshals Service released a statement to local police departments detailing what car the two may be driving.

According to the statement obtained by WAFF, Vicky White and Casey White may be driving a 2007 Ford Edge with a gold or copper look to it. There may be damage to the left rear bumper.

The two are considered armed and dangerous and may be armed with an AR-15 rifle and a shotgun, according to the release. Authorities say not to approach them if you see them.

Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton announced Monday at a press conference that an arrest warrant has been issued for Vicky White, an assistant director of corrections for the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office.
