As reported in the Gannett-owned Sioux Falls paper the Argus Leader. Gannett is a newspaper chain ultimately owned by Japanese SoftBank Group.
Gov. Kristi Noem is taking a more active role in this year’s primary election season, including trading barbs with incumbent lawmakers not in lock-step with her wing of the South Dakota GOP.
And that has some of her fellow Republicans accusing her and her allies of trying to rid the Legislature of its most conservative members.
And though Noem won’t say specifically which moderate state lawmakers she’s putting her political weight behind, it’s known that Noem is working in tandem with a high-ranking Senator who’s investing thousands in campaign funds to unseat conservative members of the party seeking re-election.
FAKE CONSERVATIVE KRISTI NOEM PURGING STATE LEGISLATURE OF CONSERVATIVES
The current list of 7 conservatives whom Noem is currently targeting:
Former State Senator Tim Begalka said of Noem: “It’s appalling that Noem is targeting conservatives for defeat. It proves she’s no conservative. Sadly, she’s now openly, brazenly, acting in a way that proves it.” Begalka served in the South Dakota Senate from 2010-2015.
At one point Noem was pushed by left-wing media as a potential Vice Presidential candidate for Trump or DeSantis. Puff pieces have appeared in a variety of hard-left media outlets not known for puff pieces on actual conservatives.
Conservatives in South Dakota, as well as colleagues and staffers who observed her during her time in Washington, DC as a Congresswoman, report that she is a sell-out moderate behind closed doors however.
NOEM CAMPAIGNS AS A CONSERVATIVE, YET LEAVES A RINO RECORD EVERYWHERE SHE GOES
Former Senator Begalka continued about Noem: “People need to not be fooled by Noem. She’s no conservative. Her taking pot shots and targeting conservatives is more evidence she’s a fake conservative. She’s only out for one thing: herself.”
Noem’s list of major conservative policy failures, matching her current purge of conservative lawmakers, includes:
- Noem shut down South Dakota in response to the China Virus, even though she later claimed she didn’t.
- Noem sided with the radical transgender groups and left-wing business interests over parents upset that biological boys were in dressing rooms with girls, and competing in girls sports. But later passed the same ban under pressure from conservatives.
- Noem has been financially and politically linked to South Dakota billionaire Denny Sanford, currently accused in federal court of using child pornography.
Asked why more aren’t speaking out about her record, one long-time activist said, “More would speak out, but they’re just frankly scared of her.”
