‘Sick Son of a B**ch’: Uvalde Mayor Goes Off After Beto O’Rourke Disrupts Press Conference

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin had words for Beto O’Rourke after the gubernatorial hopeful hijacked Governor Abbott’s press conference to call for gun control. “I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a b**ch who would come to a deal like this and make a political issue!” McLaughlin exclaimed.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was joined by Uvalde Mayor McLaughlin, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Senator Ted Cruz and a number of others for a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Beto O’Rourke — who is running to unseat Abbott in November — stormed the auditorium and proceeded to make a political statement on gun control.

“You’re out line and an embarrassment,” Lt. Governor Patrick said after O’Rourke came forward. “Sit down and don’t play this stuff!” shouted Senator Cruz.

“He needs to get his a** out of here, this isn’t the place to talk this over!” shouted the Uvalde Mayor. “Sir, you’re out of line! Please leave this auditorium… I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a b**ch who would come to a deal like this and make a political issue!”

O’Rourke went on to blame Abbott and pro-gun Americans for the massacre while speaking to fawning reporters outside. “It is insane that we allow an 18-year-old to go in and buy an AR-15. What the hell did we think he was going to do with that?” O’Rourke said.

He went on to claim that “universal background checks” and “red flag laws” would have prevented the shooting.

U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) deleted a tweet in which he compared Beto O’Rourke to the Tiananmen Square “tank man.”

The tank man stood in front of Chinese government tanks as the regime murdered hundreds of its own citizens. Phillips quickly deleted the tweet.
