Dem Rep. Cicilline: ‘Spare Me The Bull**** About Constitutional Rights’

U.S. Rep David Cicilline (D-RI) made his thoughts on the constitution known during an anti-gun outburst on the House floor. “You know who didn’t have due process? “You know who didn’t have their constitutional right to life respected? The kids at Parkland, and Sandy Hook, and Uvalde and Buffalo, and the list goes on and on,” Cicilline said in response to U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, who pointed out the unconstitutional nature of Democrat sponsored gun grabs. “So spare me the bulls*** about constitutional rights.”

The Rhode Island congressman recently backed an effort to pack the Supreme Court so that Democrats can enforce their agenda.

Cicilline’s comments mirror those of his colleague, U.S. Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-NY), who said Democrats will be seizing guns by any means necessary.

“Enough of you telling us that school shootings are a fact of life when every other country like ours has virtually ended it. Enough of you blaming mental illness and then defunding mental health care in this country. Enough of your thoughts and prayers,” Jones said during a hearing on Thursday.

“You will not stop us from advancing the Protecting Our Kids Act today,” he added. “If the filibuster obstructs us, we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects, we will expand it. And we will not rest until we have taken weapons of war out of circulation and our communities each and every day.”

The incendiary rhetoric comes as President Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have vowed to ram an “assault weapons” bill through the house.

The term “assault weapon” has no clear definition, but Democrat-backed legislation would ban the sale of practically all semiautomatic rifles.

President Biden has also called for a ban on “high capacity magazines”, which would prohibit the sale of a large share of handguns commonly sold in the U.S.
