Video: White House Dodges Peter Doocy’s Questions About Joe Biden Voicemail On Hunter’s Laptop

Last Updated on July 6, 2022

Katrina Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, refused to address questions concerning a 2018 voicemail from President Biden recently recovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The voicemail suggests President Biden was actively involved in Hunter’s overseas business ventures, despite the President repeatedly denying he ever discussed business with Hunter.

“I’m not going to talk about alleged materials on the laptop. It’s not happening,” Karine Jean-Pierre told multiple reporters that pressed for answers about the voicemail.

The recently found voicemail was discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop that he abandoned at a computer repair shop before Trump supporters obtained the laptop during the 2020 election cycle.

In the 2018 voicemail, Joe Biden can be heard saying, “I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear.”

The current President was referencing a New York Times article about Hunter’s 2017 private meeting with the chairman of a now-defunct Chinese energy company.

“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you have a chance give me a call. Nothing urgent—I just wanted to talk with you. I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear,” Joe Biden is heard saying on the voicemail.

When Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked why President Biden may have lied to the press by saying he would not speak to his son about business ventures, Jean-Pierre responded, “Well, first, I’ll say that what the president said stands. So, if he, if that’s what the president said, that, that is what stands.”

Doocy repeatedly pressed Jean-Pierre over the voicemail.
