The Sharpiegate scandal in Arizona is seeing new light as elections officials suddenly changed the type of pen recommended to vote with and again admitted to ballot bleed-through with Sharpies.
Sharpie markers came under fire in 2020 when election day voters were forced to use Sharpies and later discovered that they bled through their ballots.
Wide-scale, multifaceted voter fraud is again expected in the upcoming elections. The Gateway Pundit recently reported that election officials in Arizona sent 63,000 incorrect ballots to voters in the August 2nd Primary election.
The Gateway Pundit reported that in 2020, Maricopa County Elections officials demanded that elections clerks give voters ballpoint pens for early voting but Sharpies ONLY for Election Day voters. Trump supporters voted in overwhelming numbers on Election Day, in person, due to concerns about mail-in ballot fraud.
An email from Maricopa County Elections Assistant Director Kelly Dixon stated, “Starting tomorrow, 10/23 and through 11/2 we are asking that Clerks hand voters BALLPOINT PENS rather than markers. We NEED to use Markers on Election Day, but for now and through 11/2, hand voters a Ballpoint Pen.”
This created major fraud concerns and was later proven to cause ballot bleed-through.
Early voting for the August 2nd Primary election started on July 6th.
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer tweeted after that date, telling voters to “use any black or blue pen” in the Primary election on August 2nd.

But now, Richer is telling voters to “PLEASE PLEASE” use the “special” Pentel felt-tip pens that will be provided at in-person vote centers.
We will give ALL voters a special pen at voting locations. PLEASE PLEASE use this pen.

12 News reported,
“Sharpies are out. Pentels are in,” Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer said Monday.
The county has ordered about 4,000 Pentel brand felt-tip pens for voters who fill out ballots at the county’s Vote Centers.
The Pentels don’t bleed through the new, heavier-stock ballot paper the way Sharpies did, Richer said. And the ink dries quickly, so ballot-counting equipment won’t get gummed up.
Why the sudden change?
This is similar to in 2020 when the County suddenly ordered voters to use a Sharpie on election day. The Gateway Pundit reported that Arizona Senate auditors discovered ballots printed on the wrong paper stock, which caused excess bleedthrough and supports the theory that votes were manipulated. The County is reportedly using “new, heavier-stock ballot paper” because they got caught.
The Gateway Pundit also obtained an email from Maricopa County GOP Chairwoman Mickie Niland on July 12, notifying County poll watchers of this change.
Niland’s email states that this pen will also be strongly encouraged on election day, but NOT for early voting.
It seems she has no concerns about this.

In 2020, the type of pens used at the voting centers was of great interest. This email was sent to us from our RNC Attorney Eric Spencer to send to our Poll Observers.
I wanted you to have it as well, as you will undoubtedly have questions from the public.
Pentel Sign Pen Classic
This year Maricopa County is asking voters to use a fine-tipped marker, known as the Pentel Sign Pen Classic, to mark their ballots. The marker has black ink. Here is a picture:
According to the County, the Pentel Classic has been selected as the most appropriate quick-drying pen to mark ballots. Other types of ink (such as ball point pens) are more likely to smudge the ballot and not be read by tabulation equipment. The Pentel Classic has been selected to achieve the right balance: not as heavy as a Sharpie, but not as light as a ball point.
I should also add that the County is using heavier-weighted ballot paper in the 2022 election compared to last cycle. Thus, with no Sharpies and heavier paper, there should be even less risk of bleed-through than in the prior election.
Finally, while the Pentel Classic will be the only pen issued at the voting location, the County will not preclude a voter from bringing/using his/her own pen. (Besides, using the voter’s own pen is not a big deal for early voting because those ballots have long since dried before they are tabulated at MCTEC). But for Election Day voting, you might see some poll workers more strongly suggest the Pentel Classic be utilized.
In short, the County has confidence in the Pentel selection and our voters should not necessarily be alarmed when they see this pen at the voting location.
A local Patriot shared her concerns about the potential 2022 election scandal, saying,

This could be nothing, but it seems suspicious.
If the machines are so technologically advanced and accurate as we’re led to believe, why can’t they read regular ink without getting “gummed up?”
Why was this change made so suddenly?
It could just be a distraction from all of the other massive discrepancies and law violations that are expected to occur in the 2022 Elections.
Despite the massive fraud discovered in the 2020 Presidential election and the massive concerns in the coming elections, Maricopa County GOP Chairwoman Mickie Niland has refused requests to appoint a ballot signature challenger to ensure election integrity. She basically told Maricopa County Republicans that the RINOs in the party don’t want it.
Early mail-in voting ends today, and the election is in one week. Do NOT use a Sharpie.
Patriots must vote and watch the polls.
