Demi Lovato, a former Disney star who made headlines last year by announcing that she would no longer use the pronouns she/her and would instead use they/them, has changed her mind and says she is once again comfortable identifying as a woman.
In a recent interview on Monday’s episode of The Spout Podcast, the singer and actress said, “I’ve actually adopted the pronouns of she/her, again.”
Demi revealed that her choice of pronouns was a mistake and said that she has felt more feminine recently.
“Recently I’ve been feeling more feminine, and so I’ve adopted she/her again,” Demi said on the podcast. “But I think what’s important is, like, nobody’s perfect. Everyone messes up pronouns at some point, and especially when people are learning, it’s just all about respect.”

“So for me, I’m such a fluid person that I don’t really… I don’t find that I am… I felt like, especially last year, my energy was balanced and my masculine and feminine energy, so that when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said, women and men, I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human. And that’s what they/them is, is about for me, it’s just about, like, feeling human at your core.”
In May of 2021, the performer made the revelation about her gender identity on her own podcast, titled “4D with Demi Lovato.”

Demi came out as binary and began using they/them pronouns last year. Demi updated her pronouns to they/them/she/her on Instagram in April 2022 to reflect her identity shift. It seems she hasn’t updated to only using she/her in her Instagram bio just yet.
Pop star and former Disney actress also made headlines after she promoted sex work to her fans while urging them to “be a sl*t” and have sex with many different people, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
In an Instagram image posted to her stories on Monday, Lovato told her followers to “Be a slut. Show your body. Get naked. Have all the safe, different, consensual sex you want. Be Kinky. Masturbate. Make/watch porn. Make money.”
It concluded, “Just a reminder that being sexual is okay.”
