In a Truth Social post published Monday, former President Donald Trump reminded his followers of just how significant his influence in the Republican Party is.
Trump suggested that Republicans are polling much better in the wake of the FBI raiding his Mar-a-Lago residence unannounced. The former President seemingly referenced controversial fundraising tactics rolled out by House Minority Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy, as well as the National Republican Congressional Committee, and National Senatorial Congressional Committee, which invoked Trump’s name and called for campaign donations.
“Republicans could win many additional seats, both in the House & Senate, because of the strong backlash over the raid at Mat-a-Lago. Polls are showing that some lost Republican territory over the last number of weeks has been more than made up with the unannounced Break In by the FBI, which should never have happened!” the 45th President posted on Truth Social.
As National File previously reported, GOP politicians along with the Republican National Committee jumped at the opportunity to fundraise off of the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump’s personal residence in Palm Beach, Fla.
Within hours of the raid, a multitude of Republican politicians and the Republican National committee began sending out mass texts and emails seeking out donations.

“It’s hard to believe it but it’s true. Biden’s FBI raided President Trump’s beautiful Florida home. They don’t go after Hillary or Hunter, but they go after Pres. Trump,” the Republican National Committee said in a fundraising email sent around 2:30 AM Tuesday.
The RNC called for its supporters “to step up RIGHT NOW to stand with the GOP & STOP JOE BIDEN” by donating.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel urged Conservatives to “contribute ASAP to show your support for President Trump’s legacy and to stand with the GOP.”
Speaking on Fox & Friends, McDaniel encouraged Republicans to donate to candidates like Mehmet Oz if they wanted to fight back against the FBI raid.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy joined in on the fundraising scheme, telling supporters that he was “FURIOUS! The DOJ has been WEAPONIZED.”
Directing recipients to a donation page, McCarthy added: “We are at a PIVOTAL moment in our nation’s history. Don’t let Biden’s DOJ get away with this!”
GOP lawmakers like Rep. Jim Jordan, Sen. Chuck Grassley, and Sen. Marsha Blackburn echoed the RNC-led talking points by seeking to take advantage of infuriated Americans by fundraising.
Some Conservatives have accused GOP leaders of talking a big game by causing such a stir about the FBI raid while suggesting these GOP leaders will not actually fight for Trump.
“The GOP has no plans to counter this FBI raid of Trump other than fundraising. If we don’t get action, we’re done as a nation,” Conservative firebrand Lavern Spicer tweeted.
