Video: Whoopi Goldberg, MSNBC Commentators Mock Lindsey Graham For Suspected Homosexuality

Last Updated on September 29, 2022

MSNBC panelists have begun mocking a Republican U.S. Senator for supposedly being homosexual.

Whoopi Goldberg and other MSNBC commentators sounded off about Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) allegedly being a homosexual when discussing his federal abortion proposal.

In early September, Sen. Graham authored a bill that would establish a nationwide abortion ban after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Over this past weekend, an MSNBC panel began discussing Graham’s proposed legislation.

“Lindsey Graham, who is more than doubling down, he is going further pushing a federal ban. A national ban on abortion. I want you to first help me understand, why would he even be doing this? Right. They overturned Roe v. Wade. So for that portion of their base who wanted that, you got what you wanted,” host Stephanie Ruhle began.

“Why do this? Republicans don’t even support it across the board. He’s dividing Republicans. It’s not like you can get white evangelical voters to vote for you twice,” she questioned.

Judy Gold, an active lesbian, jumped in and immediately began ripping into Graham over his sexuality.

“Oh, I know. And, the fact that he is telling women what to do with their bodies. He’s never seen a vagina! He has never seen a naked woman. And he is telling me,” Gold said, laughing.

“We don’t know that for sure. It’s probably true. It’s probably true,” MSNBC’s Liz Plank added.

The same weekend, CNN’s Whoopi Goldberg echoed similar comments about Graham being a homosexual when speaking on The View.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was conversing with Goldberg about abortion access and same-sex rights.

“Senator Graham said maybe about a month ago, in early August, that he believes, when it comes to marriage, when it comes to abortion, it’s for the states to decide, so, Senator Graham, what changed?” Jean-Pierre asked.

“Well, maybe he’s getting married? Do it quick, because I know people are fooling around with our marriage rights, wherever you stand,” Goldberg snarkily responded.

Later in the show, after a commercial break, Goldberg walked back on her comments, claiming they were just a “joke.”

“I need to make clear that I was doing what I do as a comic. Sometimes I make jokes, and it was a joke, nothing more than that,” she explained.

“I just got a whole conversation about people misunderstanding the joke. I mean, okay. I should probably never do this show again, if this is what it’s coming to. It was a joke, guys,” Goldberg added.
