Last Updated on November 5, 2022

Blake Masters was among a number of candidates to pick up an endorsement from action star Chuck Norris on Friday. Norris released a list of his approved candidates in an article with WND on Thursday, which included Masters and a handful of other senate and gubernatorial candidates. In a length editorial, Norris prioritized the need border security, which led to his selection of Masters.

“NEW: Chuck Norris endorses Blake Masters for U.S. Senate in Arizona,” a campaign account for Masters tweeted on Friday.

“Chuck Norris does not simply endorse a candidate — he informs them of the result before anyone else knows it,” wrote conservative commentator Robby Starbuck in response to the campaign account’s tweet. “Chuck Norris knows the results in Arizona before Fox News,” the account wrote back in a quote tweet, jokingly referencing the Fox News network’s early call of the election for Joe Biden in 2020.

In an article for WND.com Norris included Blake Masters in his list of “Chuck Norris-approved candidates.”

“Blake Masters, U.S. Senate candidate for Arizona, has far better leadership credentials and skills than his political opponent to help all Arizonians,” he wrote. The article focused heavily on border security and included a number of statistics on record-setting migrant encounters in 2022, a figure that Masters has hammered his opponent for repeatedly.

“The Biden administration’s open-border policies have allowed a total of roughly 5,500,000 illegals to cross over into the United States, which is the equivalent number of people in entire countries like Ireland, New Zealand and Costa Rica,” Norris wrote.

Other “Chuck Norris-approved candidates” included Trump-backed senate hopefuls J.D. Vance in Ohio, Herschel Walker in Georgia and Adam Laxalt in Nevada, among others.

As for the Arizona senate race, Blake Masters currently finds himself locked in a tight contest with Kelly. Mark Kelly remains slightly ahead according to most pollsters, though his advantage has slipped in recent weeks. RealClearPolitics currently classifies the race as a toss-up in its polling average.
