JUST IN: Arizona Freedom Caucus Announces Plans To Sue Katie Hobbs For Unconstitutional Gender Identity Executive Order Before Turning Backs On Hobbs And Walking Out on Her SOTU Address

De-facto Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs already signed four executive orders just one week into her term.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Kari Lake recently appealed her historic lawsuit to overturn the highly questionable election, arguing the trial court and Maricopa County Judge Peter Thompson dismissed “explosive findings.”

Moments after she was sworn into office, Hobbs signed the “Protecting Employment Opportunity,” aimed at prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.

This is why brave Republican Arizona Legislators turned their backs on the Hobbs “Democratic Fascism” regime and walked out during Hobbs’ first State of the State address on Monday. State Senator Jake Hoffman later said in a statement that Katie Hobbs’ far-left, woke agenda “elevates her actions to tyrannical.”

On Election Day in Maricopa County, over 50% of tabulators and printers failed the moment that polls opened, causing voters to be turned away from the polls and creating long wait times of four hours or more. According to cybersecurity expert Clay Parikh’s testimony, this was an intentional act aimed at disenfranchising Republican voters who turned out 3:1 for Trump-Endorsed candidates. County Elections officials failed to give an adequate explanation of these failures and seemingly lied under oath in Kari Lake’s recent trial. This and other election catastrophes in Maricopa County possibly stole the election from Kari Lake.

Hoffman and the Arizona Freedom Caucus slammed Hobbs in a statement, after demonstrating their contempt, for the “election riddled with violations of Arizona law” and her embrace of “the left’s extreme, woke agenda.”

Hobbs announced the launch of her “First 100 Days Initiative,” calling it a “bold agenda for [the] first 100 days” and signing an executive order the moment she was sworn into office.

Hobbs put out the following news release on January 3, the day after she was inaugurated.

Governor Katie Hobbs Launches First 100 Days Initiative

Hobbs Kicks Off Bold Agenda for First 100 Days with Executive Order on Protecting Employment Opportunity

PHOENIX — Today, Governor Katie Hobbs announced her First 100 Days Initiative, which includes the first 100 actions she will take as governor to help build an Arizona for everyone. The Governor’s bold agenda for her first 100 days in office will focus on her top policy priorities, such as strengthening the economy and making Arizona more affordable, improving public education, and securing the state’s water future.

“Today marks a new era in Arizona, where my Administration will work to build an Arizona for everyone. I am proud to launch my First 100 Days Initiative, which will center around tackling the biggest challenges facing Arizonans, like making our state more affordable and sustainable,” said Governor Hobbs. “It’s time for bold action and I feel ready as ever to get the job done. Let’s get to work.”

To kick off her first 100 days in office, Governor Hobbs signed an executive order on non-discrimination following her swearing-in ceremony at the Arizona State Capitol this morning. Executive Order 2023-01, titled “Protecting Employment Opportunity,” reinforces federal non-discrimination laws and affirms the State’s commitment to equal employment opportunity by directing Agencies to guarantee protections in all aspects of state employment and contracting. This executive order underscores Governor Hobbs’ dedication to ensuring that every Arizonan has an equal opportunity to participate in the workforce.

Hobbs’ first executive order, 2023-01, titled “Protecting Employment Opportunity,” aims to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.

The order states in part:

WHEREAS, across the nation, more than 40% of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people report experiencing unfair treatment at work, including being fired, not hired, or harassed based on their sexual orientation or gender identity; and

WHEREAS, 91 percent of Fortune 500 companies prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, and 83 percent prohibit discrimination based on gender identity;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Katie Hobbs, Governor of the State of Arizona, by virtue of the power vested in me by the Arizona Constitution and the laws of this State, do hereby:

  1. Affirm the State’s commitment to the elimination of all barriers to employment that artificially restrict hiring, promotion, recruitment, compensation, and tenure based on any status or characteristic that is not directly related to the performance of the job; and

  2. Direct the Department of Administration to establish procedures by April 1, 2023 to be used by all State Agencies to ensure the following protections for employment opportunity:

    1. Adopt policies to ensure that hiring, promotion, recruitment, compensation and tenure is on the basis of merit and qualifications, is in accordance with all existing federal, state, and local laws, rules, policies, or executive orders, and prohibit discrimination based on race, color, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth, political or religious affiliation or ideas, culture, creed, social origin or condition, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, military service or veteran status, or marital status.

    2. Include provisions in all new state contracts or subcontracts, in accordance with all existing federal, state, and local laws, rules, policies, or executive orders to prohibit discrimination based on race, color, sex, pregnancy, childbirth or medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth, political or religious affiliation or ideas, culture, creed, social origin or condition, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, military service or veteran status, or marital status by the persons performing the contract or subcontract.

The Arizona Freedom Caucus held a press conference on Monday to announce their plans to sue Katie Hobbs for her attempts to “illegally legislate via executive order fiat in order to advance her woke agenda.”

This leaves many wondering what the new order from the Hobbs regime means for children in public schools.

According to A.R.S. § 41-741(15),  “‘State agency’ means a department, board, office, authority, commission or other governmental budget unit of this state and includes an agency assigned to a department for administrative purposes. State agency does not include the legislative and judicial branches, the Arizona board of regents, state universities, the Arizona state schools for the deaf and the blind, the department of public safety, the Arizona peace officer standards and training board, the cotton research and protection council or public corporations.”

Florida Congressional Candidate Lavern Spicer tweeted,

If the rumor is true, Arizona’s Katie Hobbs will sign an Executive Order to FORCE kids in schools to call each other by the pronoun of their choosing.

It penalizes students & fires teachers who refuse to recognize the pronouns of their fellow students.

Lake retweeted, commenting,

Stop this nonsense.

We have a wide-open border, a cartel takeover of our state, a fentanyl crisis, a crime epidemic and corrupt, rigged election. And THIS is what the fraud called Katie Hobbs prioritizes??

God help us.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported before the election that Katie Hobbs’ husband is a child therapist for “transgender children.” It looks like this is the direction that Arizona is headed.
