FL Congressional Supporters of Trump Meet at Mar-a-Lago

The Florida Congressional representatives who have endorsed Donald Trump met with Trump in Mar-a-Lago on Thursday. Trump has secured endorsements from Florida members of Congress Anna Paulina, Gus Bilirakis, Vern Buchanan, Byron Donalds, Carlos Giménez, Matt Gaetz, Brian Mast, Cory Mills, Greg Steube, and Michael Waltz. Florida Rep. Laurel Lee is the only member of Congress from the state of Florida to endorse Ron DeSantis.

Following last night’s dinner, Byron Donald wrote, “America needs President Trump BACK in the White House, and my friends in the Florida delegation are committed to ensuring that happens. 45 & 47”

Anna Paulina Luna shared similar excitement, writing, “Just wrapped up dinner with President Trump and the FL delegation!”

Cory Mills had a wonderful time at last night’s dinner, “Great dinner last night at Mar-a-Lago with President Trump and members of the Florida delegation. Honored to be a part of this great team.”

Greg Steube thanked President Trump for hosting him last night, “Thank you President Trump for hosting us last night at Mar-a-Lago with Florida’s America First delegation! Honored to be on Team Trump!.”

Many have pointed out that Florida Congressman Michael Waltz’s endorsement of 45th President Donald J. Trump for president is highly embarrassing for DeSanits because Rep. Waltz currently represents the district that Ron DeSantis represented when he was in Congress.

Governor DeSantis is struggling to pick up endorsements from elected officials in the state he governs. Rep. Laurel Lee is the only member of Congress from the state of Florida to endorse DeSantis.

Recent polling shows Donald Trump with a large lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSanits in the Florida GOP presidential primary. Trump recently released a video commenting on his poll position against DeSantis, saying, “I guess Ron DeSantis is not quite as popular in Florida as people thought!”

Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his presidential run once the Florida legislative session ends in May.
