Joe Biden released a video Tuesday morning stating that he is running for reelection. In the video, Biden referred to the MAGA movement as “extreme” while images of January 6th played in the background. Biden’s announcement comes at a time when 70 percent of Americans do not want Biden to seek reelection.
Team Biden wrote a tweet above Biden’s video that read “Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That’s why I’m running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job.”

Donald Trump responded to Biden’s announcement by releasing a video. Trump’s 4-and-a-half-minute-long video ended with Trump saying, ” With such a failed presidency, it’s almost inconceivable Biden would even think of running for reelection. You know what happened in the last election? They cheated and rigged the election. But I promise you this when I stand on the debate stage and compare our records, it will be the Radical Democrats’ worst nightmare because there has never been a record as bad as they have.”
Trump went on to say, “There has never been a greater contrast between to successive administrations in all of American history. Ours being greatness and theirs being failure.”
