Globalism’s Last Leg: Trump Lays Out America First Economic Agenda in Historic Michigan Speech

Last Updated on September 28, 2023

Donald Trump pledged a Rust Belt economic renaissance in a historic Clinton Township, Michigan, speech to auto workers on Wednesday night. Trump promised to unleash the America First policy that will close the factories in China and bring them back to America’s Rust Belt. Trump is the only presidential candidate running on an economic nationalist agenda.

Trump put globalist CEOs on notice, promising an American future that puts American wages over foreign profits, telling the crowd, ” American dreams over foreign profits and a future that raises American wages that strengthens American industry that builds national pride and defends this countries dignity, not squanders it all to build up foreign countries that hate us.”

The most powerful part of Trump’s speech came when Trump promised to hold the globalists accountable for the damage they caused American workers. Trump told the crowd, ” The Wall Street predators, the Chinese cheaters and the corrupt politicians have hurt you. I will make you better. For years, foreign nations have looted and plundered your hopes, dreams and your heritage. Now they are going to pay for what they have stolen and done to you, my friends.”

Trump’s crowd began to cheer as Trump explained to them how he would make the globalists pay, telling his crowd, ” We are going to take their money, we are going to take their factories, we are going to rebuild the industrial bedrock of this country. Like it used to be many decades ago, by the time this battle is over, the rusted-out factories will not be here in Michigan. They will be in Beijing and Shanghai. We are taking it back.”

Biden’s economy has unleashed massive amounts of economic pain on Americans. High inflation and low wages have caused at least 60 percent of Americans to live paycheck to paycheck. Trump’s promises were music to people’s ears as Americans are becoming fed up with hard work and little economic benefit.

Thousands of people stood outside Trump’s speech to wave at his motorcade as he drove by. The voter enthusiasm in Michigan is an excellent sign for Trump’s reelection aspirations.
