Speaker Mike Johnson posted a photo of himself participating in “The Call” with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, further advertising the fact that Johnson is pledging subservience to Israel’s war effort, a war effort that could lead American troops into World War 3.
Mike Johnson’s first act as speaker was to pass a resolution affirming America’s support for Israel, which Thomas Massie voted against in a populist bid to slow down the heavily advancing war machine. Massie said that Johnson’s resolution affirms the need for American spending and could even lead to U.S. troops fighting on Israel’s behalf.
Johnson counts donors from Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and of course the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which was Johnson’s top donor in this most recent 2022 election cycle. Mike Johnson already agreed with Sean Hannity about getting rid of the “motion to vacate,” which the great Matt Gaetz of Florida used to oust Kevin McCarthy from the speakership. Apparently Mike Johnson wants to ignore a U.S. House rule meant to protect the people, which was first used in 1910 by Republican Speaker John Cannon to bait his fellow Republicans into publicly betraying him during the “Revolt of 1910” that Cannon successfully navigated against.
Does Mike Johnson plan on taking a whole lot of calls from the American people if Israel manages to get the United States into World War 3? Kevin McCarthy supported Mike Johnson in the end, but not because Kevin McCarthy is somehow a redeemed person. Mike Johnson could end up being the Speaker of the House when America formally gets involved in World War 3 — and that would be a shameful moment for America and for Mike Johnson.
