Tensions are high as Americans watch their country being destroyed in real time
Tempers flared on Capitol Hill Tuesday as a pair of GOP politicians nearly got into separate physical altercations.
First, footage going viral online shows the moment Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R) called out the president of the Teamsters union for reportedly sending him threatening emails.
Mullin, a former mixed martial arts fighter, read messages allegedly sent to him by Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien and challenged him to a fight right then and there.
“Sir, this is a time, this is a place. You want to run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here,” Mullin told O’Brien.
The Teamsters head responded, “OK, that’s fine. Perfect.”
“You want to do it now?” Mullin asked. “Stand your butt up then.”
O’Brien replied by saying Mullin should stand up and Independent Senator Bernie Sanders (Vt.) interrupted, saying, “Hold it. No, no, no, sit down. Sit down! You’re a United States senator, sit down!”
Mullin went on to challenge O’Brien to a cage match fight where proceeds could be donated to charity, but Sanders grabbed the microphone and stopped the senator from speaking.
Mullin also confronted O’Brien back in March, accusing some union members of using intimidation tactics against him and his plumbing business.
In another Tuesday altercation, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) reportedly elbowed Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) in a Capitol Hill hallway.
NPR Congressional Correspondent Claudia Grisales claimed she witnessed McCarthy shove Burchett, who then chased down the House Speaker.
“Hey Kevin, why’d you walk behind me and elbow me in the back?” Burchett allegedly asked McCarthy.
Burchett also told Grisales he wouldn’t be following up with McCarthy over the spat and said he is “disappointed in him.”
Speaking with CNN, Burchett explained McCarthy elbowed him in the back with “a clean shot to the kidneys.”
An audio recording of the incident was released on social media.
It’s unclear why McCarthy would elbow Burchett, but it could be related to the fact the Tennessee congressman voted against him for House Speaker.
The current American political atmosphere is extremely divided just as the elitist ruling class has planned.
