Legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan heroically saved a girl who was in a car that had flipped over following an accident.
TMZ Sports shows a pretty remarkable photo of Hogan presiding over the scene. Hogan’s wife reported: “Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa, we saw a car flip in front of us! I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girls airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car. By all appearances, she was unscathed, just really rattled, which is an absolute miracle!”
Hogan spent his best wrestling days in the World Wrestling Federation as a beloved face before he later turned heel in the WCW then returned to face status. His Wrestlemania showdowns with Andre the Giant are the stuff of legend.
Professional wrestling has come up recently on the pages of National File.
Retired professional wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart remembers President Donald Trump, back when Trump hosted Wrestlemania 4 and 5 in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1988 and 1989 at the Boardwalk Hall next to the Trump Plaza casino.
“Well actually I remember quite a bit about it. I remember Donald Trump was actually a really big fan of wrestling,” Bret Hart recalled, noting that Trump followed wrestling closely and was particularly impressed with turnbuckle maneuvers.
“I think Donald Trump was enough of a fan that when I took a good front turnbuckle it stood out in his mind because I remember meeting him in the back after, at the end of the show, and he treated me really well. He came up and suggested we get a picture together, and we got a picture with him,” Bret Hart said.
“I remember the next year, when I saw Donald Trump again, I didn’t think he’d pay any attention to me very much, but I remember he came up and he asked me, he goes, how’d that picture turn out last year? He goes, let’s get another one and we took another picture. So, I mean, my experience with Donald Trump back then, that he was always a bit of a fan and I think he had a lot of respect for the wrestlers,” Bret Hart stated.
Bret Hart said during the 2016 election that he was not a big political fan of either Trump or Hillary Clinton, calling Clinton dishonest. Bret Hart, always the people’s champ, said that a president must think about wealth inequality and the plight of the poor.
