Obama Adviser David Axelrod: Trump & His Supporters ‘Inviting Violence’ After Conviction

“Trump is completely unrestrained in suggesting that maybe that’s appropriate,” Axelrod says.

Former Obama adviser David Axelrod claimed Donald Trump and his supporters are “inviting violence” following the former president’s conviction in the hush money case.

“One of the things about this apocalyptic language that you hear from all of these, the…chorus, is, they really are inviting violence and that’s a big concern of mine, and Trump is completely unrestrained in suggesting that maybe that’s appropriate,” Axelrod said on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday.

“I mean, he hints that all the time,” Axelrod continued. “That’s how he got in trouble on January 6th, and he’s doing it again because I think he’s more desperate now than he was then.”

Axelrod, now a CNN political correspondent, didn’t elaborate on how Trump leading big in the polls against Joe Biden, most notably in the swing states, makes him more “more desperate” than in 2021.

Axelrod also said that he would be “shocked” if Trump gets a prison sentence over the hush money case, but said he thinks “there is something about jailing a former president, especially on something like this, that is, to me, worrisome for our country.”

Trump blasted the “rigged” trial outside the Manhattan courtroom Thursday after the jury found him guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to a hush money payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels.

“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people, and they know what happened here, and everybody knows what happened here,” Trump said.

In line with Axelrod’s talking point that Trump is somehow “inviting violence”, Joe Biden also called Trump’s criticism of the trial as “dangerous.”

“It is reckless, dangerous, and irresponsible to say that the [Trump trial] was rigged,” Biden said Friday.

Alex Jones warned Friday that the Democrats are trying to paint Trump supporters as unhinged and violent ahead of planned Deep State false flags to blame the MAGA movement for violence ahead of the 2024 election given his continued strong polling against Biden.

A Daily Mail “snap” poll found Trump’s approval rating shot up by 6 points in the wake of his conviction.

His campaign also raised over $53 million in the first 24 hours after his conviction, a fundraising record.

Why would Trump supporters resort to violence when they’re more unified than ever and Trump is still polling way ahead of Biden despite the Democrat lawfare crusades?

In these situations, it’s wise to ask, cui bono? Who would benefit most from Trump supporters becoming violent, with Biden trailing in the polls?

Certainly not Trump or the MAGA movement.
