Dr. Deborah Birx is now recommending that people wear masks in their own homes, following the lead of an order that was handed down by the administrator of Broward County, Florida. (RELATED: Birx’s PA Medical License Is Expired).
“To everybody who lives in a rural area, you are not immune or protected from this virus. And that’s why we keep saying no matter where you live in America, you need to wear a mask and socially distance. But more importantly, if you’re in multi-generational households, and there’s an outbreak in your rural area or in your city, you need to really consider wearing a mask at home,” Birx stated in a CNN interview.
I first broke the story for NATIONAL FILE about Broward County’s at-home mask order:
Broward County administrator Bertha Henry has ordered residents of the Florida county to follow all mask requirements while they are on their own residential property, regardless of whether or not they own the property. So far, Broward County has mandated masks in businesses and common areas including elevators of residential facilities, so this new order raises serious questions about how mask-wearing will be enforced when people are on their own property including even in single-family homes.
According to Broward County’s order, Section 4 : “Residential Property Residents. All persons who reside on any residential property, whether single family or multi-family, and irrespective of whether they own or rent the property, must ensure that all persons on the residential property, including guests, comply with all applicable guidelines of any Broward County Emergency Order, including the facial covering requirements. Residents who fail to ensure compliance with all applicable Broward County Emergency Orders by such persons shall be subject to the penalties set forth in Section 8-56 of the Broward County Code of Ordinances, with each person present and in violation of an applicable Emergency Order constituting a separate violation.”
American Freedom protester Chris Nelson was arrested for peacefully agitating during Broward County mayor Dale Holness’ press conference announcing new Coronavirus-related rules including a curfew and criminal penalties for having more than 10 people in your own home, or being part of a gathering of more than 10 people inside a PRIVATE RESIDENCE. NATIONAL FILE covered the protest live, and gained an interview with Nelson via phone after he was released from police custody (he calls in at around the 1:28:30 mark). Holness referred to people’s houses, saying, “So the spread is there. It is now happening in our households. We must recognize that and take precautions even within our own households.”

RECENTLY…
Concerned citizens were denied entry to the Broward County Commissioners meeting Tuesday as protests grow after Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry was caught on tape discussing the government going into “family homes” to isolate people during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Protesters were denied the chance to drop off petition signatures demanding that their leaders re-open South Florida.
Ann Margo Cannon attempts to deliver signed petitions to reopen South Florida to the Broward County Commissioners, but no one will come to take them, or confirm they will be included in the public record.

The petitioners were again denied after further attempts to drop off the petition signatures.
This was our 4th attempt to have 219 signed Broward County petitions read into the record at the County Commission Meeting today. We were first told by the receptionist that no one was not allowed to turn in the petitions for the meeting. The only option was to submit a public comment request yesterday to even receive a chance to "call" into the meeting today. Broward County citizens had already done that. She didn't know how to help us so she asked for her supervisor. At one point, one of the employees told us the petitions had to be delivered AFTER the meeting. Rachael Love Cohen recorded some of that exchange https://bit.ly/2TmvOle. No one came down to help us so we went back inside to follow up 20 minutes or so later. Then an intern, Justin, came down. He could not state what the Mayor or Clerk's position was regarding entering it into today's meeting. He refused to find out if they were going to be entered into the meeting today after we were told they could only be turned in afterward. He only offered to take the petitions "to someone," but he wouldn't name who. Then we had a phone call with the Mayor's office. I asked for the employee's name so we could say who we were talking to and what she was telling us. She refused to look up the agenda item we referenced for the petitions to be included on record and then hung up on us (we have that on video too).So as the Mayor's office instructed us, we took the petitions back inside to deliver to the Security guard. The Chief Security Guard had no idea what we were talking about here. The exchange here is recorded.Do you think Broward County officials really care what the public thinks? You decide.

NATIONAL FILE reported Sunday: Broward County, Florida Administrator Bertha Henry recently discussed a new Coronavirus proposal “that would substantially increase not only the tracing but more testing and case management and isolation, for you, when we have to go into some of these ALF’s (assisted living facilities) and move people out or go into family homes like in some of these, where we’re going into some of these homes, and we have to separate an individual to isolate them they need, you know, we need to make sure that they get care, that they have food, that they have support to be isolated from their home or their family for that 14-day period.”
Freedom protester Ann Margo Cannon told National File: “We tried four times to no avail to have 219 signed Broward County petitions read into the record at the County Commission Meeting today. Do you think Broward County officials really care what the public thinks?
Broward County officials shut down public comment altogether at the end, after shutting the public completely out of the meeting. Apparently, the media were shut out too. See editorial published today.
