A man who begged a carjacker on a rampage not to shoot his pregnant wife was shot dead before his wife was kidnapped and taken on a high-speed car chase.
Jordan Stevens, 23, was on the way to church with his wife Aileen until he was deliberately rear-ended by a soon-to-be carjacker.
Carjacker Dangelo Dorsey brandished a gun at Stevens, who had left his rear-ended vehicle to inspect the damage, and demanded the churchgoer to take him to his home to change cars.
On the way to Dorsey’s home, Jordan begged Dorsey to leave his wife on the side of the road and to take him hostage instead.
Instead, Dorsey shot Jordan in the head and killed him before taking his pregnant wife on a car chase reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour.
Dorsey dumped Jordan’s along I-24 in Coffee County, Tennessee, before continuing to drive off to evade police capture.
With his terrified pregnant hostage in the car with him, Dorsey careened off the road which rolled over near mile marker 156 in Grundy County, according to Fox 17.
After crashing, Dorsey allegedly shot and killed himself. Aileen and the baby are expected to be ok.
Dorsey’s self-inflicted fatal gunshot wound ended a shooting spree that lasted the entire day.
Second Amendment Daily reported:
Earlier that morning, the gunman had unleashed fire inside a car heading westbound on I-24, killing 28-year-old Darcey Johnson and injuring another.
The shooting stopped traffic, after which Dorsey approached two more drivers in separate vehicles and shot them through the window. It’s unclear if one of those vehicles was used in the fake rear-ending that caused Jordan Stevens to pull over.
Tweeting about the event, reporter Bliss Zechman wrote: ““I want everyone to know Jordan died a hero.””
“I just finished speaking with Michelle Stevens. The TBI says her son Jordan was held hostage and shot to death by Dangelo Dorsey yesterday.”
She added: “His mother tells me Jordan was on his way to church with his pregnant wife Aileen when the couple was taken hostage at gunpoint. His mom says Jordan begged the Dorsey not to harm his wife and baby, and to take him instead.”

A GoFundMe crowdfunder was set up for the Stevens family following his brutal murder.
“We are heartbroken for this precious family and for the loss of Jordan Stevens who was a husband, son, brother, and soon-to-be father. We know there are not enough words or actions to provide comfort but would like to help in any way possible. If you are able to, please consider helping me provide financial support for Jordan’s wife Aileen Stevens and the Stevens family during this difficult time!” The post reads.
