Despite US “Giving Them Freedom” for 20 Years, Afghanistan Bans Women from Singing

By Matt Agorist

To those who have been paying attention, it is no secret that the US government has been lying to its citizens for centuries. From granting the power to coin money to the private Federal Reserve to the war on terror to the endless wars spawned by the war on terror, the United States government should change its official language from English—to lie. One of the most insidious lies ever perpetuated against US citizens was the idea that the US is spreading freedom and democracy in the Middle East when it waged war in Afghanistan.

On October 7, 2001, the United States invaded and began murdering began giving the citizens of Afghanistan “freedom.” For nearly two decades, countless bombs have fallen on the country, turning once beautiful cities into piles of rubble as “freedom” and “democracy” was delivered in the form of hellfire missiles.

Thousands of US military troops lost their lives and tens of thousand of others have been maimed and permanently disabled. Hundreds of thousands of innocent men women and children died as the US bombarded the country with this precious “freedom.”

Highlighting the superior effectiveness of the American war in the Middle East, Afghanistan’s freedom came to a pinnacle this week as this new land of promise and opportunity banned women over the age of 12 from singing.

According to DW.com, Afghanistan’s Education Ministry is barring schoolgirls older than 12 from singing at public events and prohibiting male teachers from teaching schoolgirls.

After all, nothing says “freedom” and “democracy” quite like adopting the Taliban’s policies and threatening females with imprisonment for making melodic sounds with their vocal chords.

But fret not advocates of “freedom,” President Joe Biden and his new cabinet of diverse, inclusive and intersectional mass murderers plan to keep spreading democracy in the region so that others may enjoy the same “freedom” as the Afghan people.

The fact that the entire war and hundreds of thousands of deaths were based on lies matters not when the new face of the American war machine has an LGBTQ and a BLM sticker on it. The lies that were exposed in 2019 in the form of documents obtained by WaPo which prove a vast conspiracy by United States government officials to deceive the American people into thinking the war in Afghanistan was winnable are now but a fleeting thought since Orange Man bad is gone.

Since Americans tend to have such short memories, here is a brief reminder of the quagmire which the US has facilitated that’s led to unfathomable death and suffering.

After hijackers supported by Saudi Arabia attacked the United States on 9/11, the US waged a relentless, unforgiving, violent, and unwinnable war in Afghanistan. Since the beginning of the war, the Afghans have been slaughtered, the country has become a hotbed for terrorists, they’ve drastically increased heroin production, and the US was found to have killed more people than the terrorists we are ostensibly fighting. The once beautiful nation has been turned into a pit of rubble by years of bombing and war — and the US taxpayer has funded all of it.

For the last several decades, the US government has openly funded, supported, and armed various terrorist networks throughout the world to forward an agenda of destabilization and proxy war. It is not a secret, nor a conspiracy theory—America arms bad guys. The situation has gotten so overtly corrupt that the government admitted the Pentagon asked Congress for funding to reimburse terrorists for their transportation and other expenses. Seriously.

Since the beginning of the violence, the American people have been told that this war in Afghanistan — which is slaughtering innocent women and children — is to protect their “freedom.” In reality, however, this war has made Americans less free by creating an assembly line of terrorists and police state measures ensuring a vicious cycle of rights violations and attacks for generations to come. All of this bloodshed, death, terrorism, loss of liberty, limbless veterans, PTSD, heroin epidemics, and trillions in taxpayer dollars wasted have been the product of politicians lying to you.

“Every data point” about American efforts there “was altered to present the best picture possible,” according to Bob Crowley, an Army colonel and former senior counterinsurgency adviser to military commander in Afghanistan, as quoted in the 2019 documents. “Surveys, for instance, were totally unreliable but reinforced that everything we were doing was right and we became a self-licking ice cream cone.”

“We didn’t know what we were doing. We didn’t have the foggiest notion of what we were undertaking,” confessed Douglas Lute, Afghan war czar under Bush II and Obama, back in 2015. Jeffrey Eggers—a former Navy SEAL and a staffer for the Bush II and Obama administrations—asked, “What did we get for this $1 trillion effort?”

The answer to that question is nothing, or rather, more accurately, death, suffering, terror — and now, a ban on female singing.

While the WaPo has been less than ethical when it comes to their sources, these documents showing the vast conspiracy of lies knitted by every warmongering liar in DC since Bush II, was the result of a three year battle and multiple Freedom of Information Act requests.

One of the most damning admissions in the report was from Michael Flynn, the director of intelligence for the International Security Assistance Force [ISAF] in Afghanistan from June 2009 to October 2010, who would later serve briefly as Donald Trump’s national security adviser before leaving the post in disgrace.

“For a while [the operational successes on a daily basis] might have made me feel good, but after 2006, for me, it was actually irrelevant because we were just killing so many people and it wasn’t making any difference at all,” Flynn told his questioners.

“Commanders and policymakers, on the spectrum of news, they want always to be good news. Operational commanders, state department policymakers and Department of Defense policymakers are going to be inherently rosy in their assessments. They will be unaccepting of hard-hitting intelligence.”

Flynn pointed out that this problem wasn’t just a few key players deceiving their rulers in D.C. The lies were widespread, literally everyone.

“[This was true for every] commander. They all said, when they left, they accomplished [the] mission. Every single commander. Not one commander is going to leave Afghanistan or Iraq or any place, not one is going to leave and say, ‘You know what, we didn’t accomplish our mission.’

“So the next guy that shows up finds it screwed up … they do their mission analysis once they are on the ground and then they come back and go, ‘Man, this is really bad.’

From ambassadors down to the low level [they all say] we are doing a great job. Really? So if we are doing a great job, why does it feel like we are losing? There is corruption in reporting and not just corruption in the theft that occurred … That also includes from the state department. There is no way that over the years, to include this year [2015], that we can say things are wonderful.”

When the blowhards, including Bush, Obama, Trump, and now Biden took to the pulpits, they told us that they would be pulling out the troops, yet all of them have maintained a presence, knowing full well that the only thing it was accomplishing was death.

Tragically, this perpetual war has apparently become so ingrained in American society that no one pays attention to the wholesale slaughter of innocence much less the fact that they’ve been being deceived by every president since its inception. Maybe the generation who has grown up watching America’s Got Talent, American Idol and The Voice will now pay attention to the leviathan of death that is the US military industrial complex when they see that 2 decades of bombs couldn’t prevent a country from banning the act of singing. One can hope.
