Top Mayo Clinic Doctor To Vaccine Skeptics: ‘Don’t Burden Our Hospitals’ When Sick, ‘Ask YouTube Or OAN For Help’

Dr. Courtney Bennett, a high level cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where she directs the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, appeared to advocate for allowing “self centered” and “ignorant” vaccine skeptics to die in a disturbing rant posted on her Facebook account.

Dr. Courtney Bennett, a top-tier cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, criticized One America News network viewers in a disturbing rant posted on her Facebook account, as exposed on the Stew Peters Show.

“I wish I was sharing something more exciting, but I can’t because we live in a society of self centered people who get their medical advice from sources like YouTube or OAN yet beg us to help them breath using technology developed by actual science when they’re blue and gasping for air,” wrote Dr. Bennett. “Do me a favor and don’t burden our hospitals because you are ignorant. Ask YouTube or OAN for help. Sorry for the rant, but I’m tired.”

Given that a majority of OAN viewers are generally conservative Republican voters who support 45th President Donald Trump, and remain skeptical about the COVID-19 vaccines, it appears that Dr. Bennett was expressing her frustration with them – suggesting that they should attempt to seek care elsewhere, and could potentially be refused treatment, or be given poor treatment due to their political and religious beliefs.

Stew Peters, the host of the Stew Peters Show noted that Dr. Bennett’s comments raise questions concerning how she would treat her patients. “Do you trust a woman like that to fairly treat people who come under her care? Think about the disturbing message that she’s sending,” said Peters. “Her message seems to be: ‘If you make your own decisions after your own health, and don’t do exactly what I say at all times, then frankly I don’t feel like treating you if you’re ill. Please die.’”

National File reached out to the Mayo Clinic for clarification purposes, but received no response. It is unclear whether or not Mayo Clinic has taken any action against Dr. Bennett for the bizarre statements she posted to her Facebook account.

Back in July, Mayo Clinic CEO Gianrico Farrugia explained why he doesn’t want to go back to a “pre-pandemic world.”
