Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria have been laying low in Vermont trying to hide from the paparazzi since Baldwin fatally shot a producer on the movie set of “Rust.”
The Baldwins on Saturday pulled their car over to confront paparazzi who have been following them around town.
Alec Baldwin asked the reporters to stop following his family around: “My kids are in the car crying … I’m not allowed to comment on the investigation, I talk to the cops every day.”
“She was my friend. The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel the director,” Baldwin said of Haylna Hutchins.
“We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together, and then this horrible event happened.” Alec Baldwin said as he snapped at his wife Hilaria for angrily telling the paps to stay away in her fake Spanish accent.
“I wouldn’t know how to characterize it. They’re mortified,” Baldwin said when asked about the victim’s family.
“There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time, but nothing like this. This is a one-in-a-trillion episode,” he said.
