On Thursday, a fatal car wreck near Midland, TX, was responsible for the deaths of nine people.
100 Percent Fed Up reports – Those killed in the fiery crash include six members of the University of the Southwest’s golf team, their coach, a 13-year-old Mennonite boy, and his father. Two passengers in the van with the college golf team were sent to a local hospital and are in critical condition.
ABC News reports on the two passengers in the team van who survived the wreck – Dayton Price,19, of Mississauga, Ontario, and Hayden Underhill, 20, of Amherstview, Ontario, remain hospitalized as of Thursday in Lubbock, Texas, according to the University of the Southwest.
Authorities called the accident a “major-crash fatality scene.” It involved more than 50 cars. Six students on the University of the Southwest’s golf team were killed in the wreck, as well as the student’s golf coach, the driver of the vehicle who hit the van, and his father were also killed.

The deceased were identified as Golf coach Tyler James, 26, of Hobbs, New Mexico.
The players killed in the pile up include Mauricio Sanchez, 19, of Mexico; Travis Garcia, 19, of Pleasanton, Texas; Jackson Zinn, 22, of Westminster, Colorado; Karisa Raines, 21, of Fort Stockton, Texas; Laci Stone, 18, of Nocona, Texas; and Tiago Sousa, 18, of Portugal.
It has now been revealed that 13-year-old Ricky Siemens was the person behind the wheel of the pickup truck that caused the fatal crash.
The Mennonite boy and his 38-year-old father, Heinrich Siemens also died in the accident. Heinrich Simens is the father of 5 children.

The Daily Mail reported– After the boy’s identity was revealed, it was discovered that before Christmas, in December 2021, Ricky Siemens accidentally burned down his family’s home after leaving eggs unattended on the stove.
The youngster was driving the family’s Dodge truck when it crossed the median onto the wrong side of the road, slamming into a bus carrying eight University of the South West golf students, with six of those golfers and their coach all killed.
Two male students were pulled from the wreckage of Tuesday’s crash alive and airlifted to hospital.
The legal driving age in Texas, where the fatal accident took place, is 16 years old.”
