Surveillance cameras captured a brazen, broad daylight shooting at a busy Philadelphia gas station on Monday. Two assailants, one of whom was equipped with a semi-automatic rifle, shot and killed a 30-year-old man before fleeing in a red sedan.
According to Fox 29 Philadelphia, 30-year-old Brandon Dixon was fatally shot at the Liberty gas station on the 1000 block of East Mount Airy Avenue around 2 p.m. Monday.
Security cameras captured Dixon exiting the gas station before approaching a silver car at one of the pumps. While Dixon was standing by one of the gas pumps, a red Mazda pulls into the gas station while two men exit the vehicle.
Dixon tried to flee but was gunned down as he ran away. One of the shooters was armed with a semi-automatic rifle while the other was firing a handgun.
Video shows the gunmen firing without any regard for bystanders at the busy Philadelphia gas station.

The vehicle, a maroon-colored Mazda, had tinted windows and an unrecognizable license plate. Philadelphia Police no longer make traffic stops for “minor” vehicle infractions under the direction of District Attorney Larry Krasner’s “Driving Equality Bill.”
Responding officers rushed Dixon to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Dixon’s mother, Lisa, described her son as a “good person” and a loving father to his 5-year-old daughter in a statement to Fox 29. “I don’t know who’s raising these children, but they don’t care. They have no empathy,” Lisa said. “They have nothing in them. They don’t care and they took my baby’s life.”
No arrests have been made as of this time. Philadelphia Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the shooters.
