The Daily Wire, a supposedly right-wing Conservative news organization, has been accused of giving into cancel culture by censoring Candace Owens and world-renowned rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Ye (Kanye West) was interviewed by podcaster Lex Friedman and covered a variety of topics, like his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, The Holocaust, the 2024 election, and notably, the Daily Wire’s anti-free speech and pro-cancel culture ideals.
“They told Candace Owens I couldn’t be on the Daily Wire like you can’t even explain yourself and we don’t care how you got to that point either and that’s f****d up,” Ye told Friedman.
“They told Candace you can’t be on Daily Wire,” Friedman questioned, surprised by Ye’s comment.

“Yes, she did. That’s what she said. And you know what, and you can have my voice raised or lowered, Imma do it lower right because what’s happening to me by, I’ll put it in your words, ‘the media’ is saying ‘not only can you not explain yourself we don’t care how you got to that point. You need to apologize and you can’t explain and that’s the end of the story,’” Ye replied.
“Just apologize so we can have Mel Gibson do some more films is exactly what Ari Emmanuel is saying,” the rapper continued, referencing Mel Gibson, an actor who gave into pressure from outraged Jewish activism groups like the ADL to apologize for allegedly anti-semitic comments he made.
“The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world,” Gibson drunkenly told a police officer in 2006 during a DUI arrest.
“No one is looking to change the problem that led so many people to that same level of frustration and I just so happened to be the one that’s not gonna back up on it until this changes cause…even you as engineering, as intelligent as you are, you just like everyone else that I was saying was colluding, won’t let us get to the point of fixing it,” Ye went on.
“But I’m not – I think you’re more powerful than the media. I’m not saying you need to apologize because the media [wants you to]. I’m saying everything we’ve been talking about because I care for you and want you to be the best possible man you can be. To me, the definition of a great man, I’m with Martin Luther King on this, you don’t talk about Jews or black people – you talk about engineering, you talk about humanity, you solve problems,” Friedman jumped in, responding.

“You identify the problems in the world and you don’t come from a place of resentment ‘this group did this, this’ – f**k all that. That is in the past – you just build solutions. I’m gonna create a new record label. I’m gonna create a new design firm. I’m gonna create a new social network and I’m gonna do it better, I’m gonna do it right by the people I know don’t have a voice – I’m gonna give them a voice, and talk about that,” Friedman continued.
“Is it okay to call out collusion. Do people collude in your business? Like the engineers…they collude against the bosses right?” Ye questioned.
The billionaire rapper went on to say that the CEO of Louis Vuitton, Bernard Arnault, took away a large value fashion house deal away from him “because I was too powerful with the collective that I had right there. He had to stop that at all costs.”
The fashion mogul and world-famous rapper made a series of tweets and Instagram posts criticizing Jewish people and Jewish media for suppressing him over the last few weeks.
In one tweet, Ye vowed to go “def con 3” on Jewish people. Ye has had bank accounts canceled, been censored on Instagram and Twitter, and a variety of contracts cut over his controversial remarks.
“For the people in business, whatever their background is…there’s been some bad business done, there’s some bad business practices and we have to change that because this game is like boxing more people in the retarded than rich and I’m saying like beat to a pulp, driven crazy, beat by the media to a pulp. Right now the media has done everything they could to make me apologize and to make me look crazy and not one person has done anything to find out why I was frustrated enough to do that tweet and that’s facts and that’s f****d up,” Ye explained, knocking media personalities and mainstream media outlets for refusing to dive into why he has made such inflammatory comments.
