Biden Administration Investigates Texas ISD For Removing Sexually Explicit Books

A North Texas school superintendent is facing an investigation from the Biden administration.

The Biden administration targeted the superintendent of Granbury Independent School District, Jeremy Glenn, after he led a charge to remove sexually explicit books from the school district’s libraries.

Biden’s Department of Education launched an investigation into Glenn after the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) issued a complaint against the superintendent, claiming he made anti-LGBT comments that could be in violation of Title IX, the Daily Signal reported.

Glenn pushed back on hyper-political LGBT-related content being present in Granbury schools’ libraries. “I acknowledge that there are men that think they’re women, and there are women that think they’re men. And I, again, I don’t have any issues with what people want to believe, but there’s no place for it in our libraries,” the superintendent told school librarians in a leaked recording.

The ACLU contested in a July complaint that Glenn’s removal of LGBT-related books was discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender. After Glenn’s comments were leaked to news outlets, the ACLU claimed Glenn fostered a “pervasively hostile” environment for members of the LGBTQ community.

“In January, when Glenn met with librarians, he told them that the new school board was ‘very, very conservative’ and that any employee who holds different political views had ‘better hide it,’” NBC News reported.

If the U.S. Department of Education’s investigation finds Glenn’s actions or comments violated the rights of Granbury schools’ students, the district could be forced to change school policy and be monitored by federal authorities.
