Last Updated on April 24, 2023

Fox announced on Monday that Tucker Carlson and Fox News have agreed to part ways. Monday’s announcement sent shockwaves across America. It’s reported that Paul Ryan, who is pushing Ron DeSantis for president and a Fox Board Member, has gained significant influence at Fox News.

On Monday, Fox News released a statement that read, “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor. Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

Tucker’s departure from Fox comes less than 42 hours after Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for Tucker Carlson to be fired from Fox News.

Tucker’s departure comes on the heels of James O’ Keefe departing Project Veritas. Many now wonder if Ron DeSantis and his allies pushed Tucker and Keefe out the door. New York Young Republican Club President Gavin Wax wrote, “Is Ron DeSantis responsible both for the death of Project Veritas and now Tucker Carlson Tonight?”

Stew Peters fears that the RINOS and Democrats will keep Tucker Carlson off the air until the 2024 election is over, “PREDICTION: Tucker Carlson won’t be seen anywhere on air in the prime time news show format before the end of the 2024 election” Peter’s wrote.

At a speech Friday night, Tucker may have hinted at his departure from Fox News, saying, “I am not a slave. I am a free citizen, and I’m not doing that, and there’s nothing you can do to me to make me do it, and I hope it won’t come to that, but if it does come to that, here I am. Here I am. It’s Paul on trial. Here I am.”

and

“You see people going along with this, and you lose respect for them…That’s certainly happened to me at scale over the past three years. I’m not mad at people, I’m just sad. I’m disappointed. How could you go along with this?”

A recent video emerged of Vice President of Tucker Carlson Digital Projects Justin Wells and Tucker Carlson discussing Fox’s support behind Tucker’s shows, “They believe in what we’re doing, and they have since we launched Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wells told Tucker in the video.  The video is leading many to wonder if the relationship between Tucker and Fox experienced a drastic change between last Monday and today.
