National Weather Service, Storm Chaser Video Discredit DeSantis Trolls

Ron DeSantis political operatives blasted out on Saturday that President Trump canceled his rally due to a “small crowd size.” However, National Weather Service Warrings and storm chaser videos show a tornado outbreak that occurred in the Des Moines, Iowa region.

KCCI 8 Des Moines weather page lists all the tornado warnings that the national weather service issued for the KCCI 8 Des Moines Iowa, viewing area. At 7 pm on Saturday, the same time the Trump Rally was scheduled to start the KCCI8 reported, “New tornado warnings in Marion County between Pleasantville and Otley and in Pocahontas County, directly over the city of Pocahontas, are in effect until 7:30 p.m. The National Weather Service said a tornado has been observed in Marion County and rotation has been indicated on radar near Pocahontas.”

At 7:45 pm on Saturday, KCCI 8 Des Moines reported, “7:45 p.m.: A tornado warning has been issued through 8 p.m. for southern Palo Alto County and northern Pocahontas County, including Mallard and Curlew”

At 8:15 pm on Saturday, KCCI 8 reported, ” A tornado warning has been issued through 8:45 p.m. for northwestern Webster County, around Barnum. National Weather Service radar indicated rotation in the storm, which they said is capable of producing a tornado and could damage mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles. It’s moving north from Barnum at 10 mph.”

Numerous Tornado Warnings were also issued in the Des Monies region between 1:30 pm and 6:30 PM on Saturday.

Storm Chaser Corey Gerken posted a video of Saturday’s Knoxville, Iowa, tornado. Gerken described Saturday’s tornado as a “fantastic structure.” Knoxville, Iowa, is about 30 miles east of Des Moines.

Team DeSantis used a photo that Chris Nelson took 8 hours before the Trump rally was scheduled to begin and said Trump canceled his rally due to his crowd size. Team DeSanits lackey Bill Mitchell encouraged Nelson to continue pushing the lie.

In addition to the phony Trump rally claim, Chris Nelson, an outspoken DeSantis surrogate, has made numerous false claims.

Recently, Nelson falsely claimed that Ron DeSantis didn’t sign legislation allowing for the forced injection of Floridians with COVID-19 jabs, an issue previously reported on by National File.

Team DeSantis has yet to apologize to the people of Iowa for downplaying Saturday’s natural disaster.
