Police find dead man wearing body armor, patches and tactical gear, and carrying multiple weapons and explosive devices nearby words reading, ‘I am not a killer, I just want to get into the caves.’
A man armed with guns and explosives was mysteriously found dead inside a Colorado amusement park over the weekend, with the eerie message, “I am not a killer,” written in the bathroom stall where he was discovered.
The body of 22-year-old Diego Barajas Medina was located inside the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park on Saturday.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office claims Medina illegally snuck into the park after-hours via a service road.
He was wearing body armor, a ballistic helmet, patches and tactical gear, and carrying a handgun, a rifle and several improvised explosive devices when he was found.
The Garfield County Coroner’s Office believes Medina died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his body was reportedly found in a women’s bathroom, near a stall where the words “I’m not a killer. I just wanted to get into the caves” were written.
Police at a press conference on Monday could not confirm Medina wrote the message.
According to Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario, Medina may have been planning a mass shooting, but appears to have changed his mind at the last second.
“Given the preparation, given the amount of weapons and ordinance he had it almost seemed very highly likely he intended to use those against the community. He chose not to,” Vallario said.
A statement from the sheriff’s office echoed those sentiments, stating, “While this investigation is still ongoing and very active it is important to realize that given the amount of weaponry, ammunition, and explosive devices found, the suspect could have implemented an attack of devastating proportions upon our community and first responders.”
Medina was reportedly carrying an arsenal of both ghost guns and real weapons.
From the Daily Mail:
Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario said a handgun and explosive devices were nearby – some real and some fake.
The AR-style rifle was on a counter nearby along with a duty belt holding several ammunition magazines.

Multiple improvised explosive devices were found in Barajas Medina’s vehicle, police had said.
Sheriff Vallario says authorities are conducting a search of Medina’s residence, but that he has no criminal record and has been “completely under the radar.”
On X (formerly Twitter), many speculated Medina could have been a brainwashed Manchurian candidate-style assassin who somehow managed to break free of his potential government mind control programming.
Somewhere a CIA handler is having to explain himself to his superiors.

MK Ultra failure? Blackmailed patsy decided to end it on his terms and not his controllers? Maybe it was a two man operation and the other guy opted out and killed him to stop him.
This will be an interesting follow up story.

Extremely suspicious that someone would go to all that trouble and then commit suicide. I noticed in the article that he was allegedly wearing patches. Does anyone believe the media would withhold the type of patches if they were right wing? This smells like a gun control op.

This article leaves more questions than answers. Tactical – Was he a Hunter? Blowing up Prairie dog dens in his spare time? Patches – Was he military? If it was NRA we would’ve heard about it, so the rainbow? Mickey Mouse? Was he on drugs? MK Ultra? Answers?

The avoidance of the possible attack and subsequent speculation over MK Ultra mind control comes amid reports that Maine mass shooter Robert Card, who murdered 18 people last week, had previously alleged to hear voices in his head calling him a “pedophile” while reportedly being paranoid over people “casing” his home months ahead of the massacre.
The avoidance of a potential attack and subsequent MK Ultra mind control speculation align with reports on Robert Card, the Maine mass shooter responsible for the deaths of 18 people last week, who had previously claimed to hear voices in his head calling him a “pedophile” and exhibited paranoia about people “casing” his home months prior to the tragedy.
