Amish farmer Amos Miller shunned a conversation with a reporter when the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture raided Miller’s farm on Thursday. Amos Miller sells raw milk, and he boldly stands up to government pressure to try to shut him down. Reportedly, three Pennsylvania state troopers among others showed up to harass Miller.
Raw milk is widely believed to have excellent health benefits. Many people believe that raw milk helps with emotional health, due to the belief that it has bacteria and enzymes that can positively influence your gut neurons (did you know that you have about 500 million neurons in your gut in your secondary enteric nervous system?)
But The Man has been trying to shut down Amos Miller for years, culminating with yet another in a series of raids on his property on Thursday after supposed health officials in the blue states of Michigan and New York tried to link Amos to health problems stemming from his raw milk and eggnog. Amos Miller is used to standing up to the government, and apparently also standing up to the press.
Lancaster Online reported that “The farmer, Amos Miller, declined to speak with a reporter who visited the property. The reporter was asked to leave.”

In July 2021, Amos Miller wrote a newsletter to his fans stating the following: “So, the question remains – how important are farmers? As of today, many farmers in our area have sold their animals in the past 6 months and discontinued farming because of the monopolized food system and also because of the rules and regulations that are written up, put in place and being enforced. This could cause a meat and food shortage sooner than one might ever expect. According to what we have been hearing, the meat price has doubled recently in the store. That is a sign that the demand is higher than it can be supplied. Keeping food on the shelves will not be helped with the drought on the West Coast and other parts of this country. In the wintertime, the East Coast is quite dependent on vegetables, etc. from the West Coast. Only God knows what may happen.”
