‘Close Family Friend’ Of Dead Boeing Whistleblower Says He Told Her, “If Anything Happens To Me, It’s Not Suicide”

Mysterious death becomes even more suspicious

An investigative journalist for WCIV ABC News 4 in Charleston, South Carolina, talked with a close family friend of recently deceased Boeing whistleblower John Barnett who claimed he verbally stated he’d never kill himself.

The family friend told investigative journalist Anne Emerson Barnett that Barnett spoke with her about his lawsuit with Boeing and that she asked if he was scared since he was at odds with such a major corporation.

“No, I ain’t scared, but if anything happens to me it’s not suicide,” Barnett allegedly told his friend.

She explained, “I know that he did not commit suicide. There’s no way. He loved life too much, he loved his family too much, he loved his brothers too much to put them through what they’re going through right now.”

“I think somebody didn’t like what he had to say and wanted to shut him up and didn’t want it to come back on anyone, so that’s why they made it look like a suicide,” she added when asked for her opinion on what happened to Barnett.

This claim comes after South Carolina police claimed earlier this week that a “note” was discovered near the body of Barnett, who was found dead in his vehicle from an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound.
