As rumors of a federal lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus swirl, at least one prominent news network is preparing for employees to live at their headquarters to continue working as long as possible.

Infowars reporter Harrison Smith revealed Infowars is buying mattresses and other necessary supplies for technical and broadcast staff to be able to live at the studio during any possible lockdown or stay-at-home order from state or federal government.

“New beds at #Infowars HQ in case we have to stay here throughout an extended lock-down,” Harrison wrote on Twitter. “The information must flow!”

Speaking to National File, Smith elaborated that the news company is “making arrangements for staff to stay at the Infowars HQ for an extended period in case of lock-down or stay-at-home orders.”

“We also bought laundry machines,” Smith continued, “Along with the storable food, personal firearms, and the Infowars battle-tank, I’d say we’re just about ready for anything.

When asked whether this means veteran radio host Alex Jones, David Knight, and Owen Shroyer will be able to continue broadcasting through a lockdown, Smith seemed to suggest it will be possible.

“The most important aspect is maintaining the critical infrastructure to be able to broadcast over the radio, as well as maintaining web presence with Infowars.com,” Smith said.

He continued, “Some reporters will be broadcasting from home, but staff will be required at HQ to keep tech running.”

“I believe we will be broadcasting regularly no matter what,” Smith added.

National File also asked whether there are concerns that the Austin, Texas based company to be forced into lockdown by the Texas government, or by federal orders.

Earlier on Friday, Infowars’ Rob Dew posted messages he received suggesting there may be an upcoming federal quarantine, and that the National Guard will be involved.

“It looks like Texas politicians are resisting California-style lock-downs,” said Smith. “But we shall see.”

National File also plans to continue to operate under any possible lockdown, and is in the process of moving editor-in-chief Tom Pappert’s studio to his residence should video reporting will be required.
